I got the rear wheel in and installed....

In short... nothing to grind or modify on my 2006 GTS... went on as easy and changing the rear wheel with a 12"


Tire size on the rear rim is 140/60/13... the centerstand gets it up just high enough to allow the rear wheel to roll freely

Are both the front and rear wheels exactly centered down the centerline of the bike??? Nope... Not really.

I would say they are within 5-10 mm off centerline... is it enough to worry about??? I am still thinking on it... I don't notice it riding. the bike doesn't lean different one way to the next. Im not sure it's worth pulling it all back apart to have the hub of the wheel machined such a small amount to make them perfect.

The look is fantastic!

The ride is great.

it makes the bike feel bigger overall, and "locked on center" better going down the road.

Im not as disheveled by potholes and undulations...

So without further adieu!!!

Did the wheel brace plate (what the shock mounts to) fit flush or did you have to crank down the hardware or use spacers?

Could a spacer, or some well-placed machining on a mating part put both wheels on the same centerline somehow? Which is "off", front or rear?

When you only had the front wheel on, did you notice any difference in the handling or "head shake" because of the change in rake/trail?

It fit flush...

I had to:

Install the conical spacer after putting on the wheel.... The wheel is "Hub Centric" so it fit the rear hub flawlessly.

I think that Scooterwest is grinding down this conical spacer to allow the wheel to be installed after the conical spacer is put on but I figured out that once the wheel is on the Conical spacer slots right into place and even has a chamfered space in the wheel center that it "locks into"

A spacer will not make it come together "centered"
Truth is the offset of the wheel is not right, so I would need to have the center hub of the wheel machined about 5mm to make the perfectly centered.

Is it worth all that to make a 5mm correction??? It doesn't rub anything and I don't notice anything odd while riding... all i notice is the improvements.

No head shake at all.. this bike has been locked on center since I installed the front wheel....

It feels like a bigger bike now and the handling is more forgiving and deliberate...

I like it.

Looks great. It would be good to hear a review from you in a few months time when you have really got used to the mod.

are those rims wider then stock one....

They are the same... about 3 inches wide.

You're right, it looks cool! Suits the lines better than the 5spoke I think.

As for the offset? A drag mate has a high 8sec Suzuki EFE (that's quick and a bit intense with stock wheelbase and no bars.......) and he hasn't noticed any problems with the rear wheel offset 8mm. Since he has enough grunt to have to reset the chain tension and straighten the wheel after every pass, I think any issues would have been noticed by now!

Hopefully there won't be any breaking. But the braking feedback would be good to hear.

Curious to see what the long term test of these wheels will reveal. The speedometer and odometer will read inaccurately for sure.

Non issue.

Front and rear are offset same so just changes centerline slightly. Same thing on my 150 when I swapped to 12s. Visual only, no difference when riding.

when in the center stand the rear wheel touches the ground.isn t that dangerous?a little push and its off the stand.btw it looks very good.how does it feel when you hit a bump?smoother or the same?

Did you tried those tires in the wet yet?

I now have ContiTwists and those su** in the wet.

Any update after a few months? Has anyone else done this?

I have 13 inch wheels on my scoot ,centre stand, lifts high enough
to lift back wheel,and have bike running,no probs

I see that you have a 140/60-13 on the rear wheel.
Does it rub some where?

Well I have just bougth my 13" mp3 wheels.
I had to mill off approx. 1mm as you can see in this video.

Did anyone do this with an ABS GTS yet? It has the ABS sensor bolted to the stock rear rim which would need to be fitted to the Yourban rim

+1 on this -- I just bought a 13" MP3 wheel for the front of my '15 GTS and was planning to change out the rear as well once I wear some tread down...

What size is the front tire? Has anyone run 140 front and back?

Bought a 130/70-13... mounting it to 13" mp3 'business' wheel

My first post and digging up an old thread.

I'm awaiting delivery of front+rear MP3 Business wheels and the modified rear wheel hub. Based on photos above, the clearance of the rear wheel on the main stand with 140/60-13 rear seems slim. Has anyone tried fitting 150/70-13 tyres?
