Morning all

Spoke to Nic this morning -still waiting for transfer so I'll keepo you posted
She sounds a little cheerier, says she feels dizzy - but she's blonde so I'd expect that anyway (sorry coudn't resist)

She remembers a little about the accident - riding along, heard a bang, front wheel felt 'funny' and she went down

Obv her husband will be making arrangements for having all the relevant checks done on the bike
That's all we know at the moment

I'm sure you won't but please don't speculate as to cause/possible cause on here - let's leave that with Nic's hub, her, any witnesses and the insurers/vehicle examiners. Otherwise it just gets confusing

I'll be visitiing later, and as always sending all your Karma back to her -

Ok peeps you will be pleased to know that I just took the blonde bombshell home from hospital

She's obviously still injured, in quite a lot of pain and awaiting surgery but there are no beds available at the Royal London Hospital - so instead of her laying in a hospital bed she's better off laying in her own (its' safer and I'm sure a damn sight cleaner)

She looks much much improved today, so a weekend of total rest and sleep, and pain management in her own comforts, then a pre surgery assesment Monday, prior to surgery at some point next week

Your thoughts and karma have worked.

My fondest and most heartfelt thoughts to all of you, because you are the best people I have in the majority never met, but feel I truly know.....

You never know she may post on here soon.....as and when she's able to have a look at MV

I'm a believer that her healing will be even faster and better due to being home as much as possible. The body just responds better in familiar places.

Although I have said nothing until now, I have been following this thread since the beginning.
As bad it is to hear a fellow rider has gone down, it is worse yet when it is a much loved member of the community. Many positive good thoughts have been expressed and I too pass my best wishes on too.

Better the news now to hear that things are going well, much thanks Kitty, for you are a better friend that I think you even know, Nic is a lucky woman to have you on her side.
Yes these are stressful situations to friends and family as well, make sure you take care of yourself if not you're no good to her.....

I hope it is the beginning of a return to normal, but it looks like a lot of surgery and healing to do yet.

excellent news i'm sure that being at home in comfy familiar surroundings will help her to feel so much better

Well kitty has been updating you yes home laying around getting ready for surgery only broken face on Tue. I will defo be riding again its just frustrating as I have no idea how or what happened all I know I'd it bloody hurts xx

So GREAT to hear from you. Hang in there you'll get it sorted. Just relax and get well. After my big accident (broken neck C2, tib fib fx, 4 broken ribs and 20 stitches in my head ( open face slid back), i was back riding in a couple of months. Just concentrate on getting well and enjoying the pain meds and yes pain is no fun. Good to see you back on.

Happy to hear from the Lady herself! My thoughts and prayers are with you for a quick and comfortable recovery.

ouch you've had a spot of microdermabrasion too i see. bring on the titanium - one of my cousins suffered very severe facial injuries about ten years ago and apparently it feels much better once it's all bolted back together.

KITTY yes that's what i said in my first post on this thread. Nic can get some good plastic surgery and say she's never had it. Nic looks can be deceiving as they say. Still looks like it hurts. Good luck on the surgery.

Good karma for a speedy recovery! Glad to see you're keeping good spirits and can't wait to see you posting from two wheels again in the near future.

As long as they save my teeth we don't want two of us in the house with false teeth that could get confusing x
