I can not get a Samsung Note 2 to run the software or pair with my scooter.
The dealer is useless, I am very disappointed, has anyone used the application or been able to pair their phone?

Thanks

You do have the optional module installed on the scooter do you?
Just in case you thought it was standard.

That I haven't heard. Suggest you remove the left knee pad and see if the module is there. It's a 4" x 4" black box mounted immediately to the left of the ABS unit.

The pic shows what's under the knee pad prior to the PMP install. This is where you'd find the module. Note the ABS unit and the the white wiring loom end. The ABS mount is used for the module mount with wiring to this loom.

Also, make sure you download the PMP app, not the VMP. The Vespa VMP app is no longer factory supported for the GTS / GTV.

This is a 2016 GTV-300 ABS, the bike some times broadcast but never will pair with the phone.

The app does not display properly on two of my Samsung Phones, Note 2 and galaxy S5, the entire bottom doesn't show. Also there is no support from the software developer. I downloaded it from the Google Play Store.

Trying to follow your issue here. Not sure if your're asking about an app issue or a Bluetooth problem.

Just a guess, but I'd say the app is having an issue with your phone. I've seen this issue before with an Android.

The app is made by an independent contractor for Piaggio. Their application was designed for an Apple iPhone.

To save you some frustration, find someone with an iphone and download the PMP app. If it works that will solve your problem.

Your scoot is the first that I've heard of having the module as standard equipment. Interesting. Again, did you remove the left knee pad cover to determine if the module has been installed? I'd recommend doing that before going any further.

When I scan for new devices on my phone sometimes I see it, when I try to connect through the PMP it never conects.

I am going to remove the knee pad tomorrow morning, and take a look.

I sent 2 notes to the PMP software developers with no response.

There are several complaints about the most recent update braking the app.

I think I can find an iPhone to test.

Thank you

Understand. Trying to communicate with the app support group is next to impossible.

Most of us working with the PMP device have gone through quite the learning curve. I too was told by my dealer that the module came with my scoot, which it did not. Lots of confusion in regards to this with many dealers. Not their fault. Just a lack of info from Vespa.

Surprise no module!

The dealer told me it comes standard so let's see if he make good on it.

Any idea roughly what the unit costs?

Yup. No surprise.

The kit requires two parts. The mount with wiring adapter that's about $100. The module is about $200.

Most dealers have sold these to customers at cost, plus install thrown in for free. About a 20 minute job.

If dealer covers all costs, great. If not, suggest you watch my very amateur video on the PMP with review prior to purchase.

Installing Bluetooth module
I am waiting for the parts to come in, any tips or tricks on installing the bracket, Harness and module.

I noticed in the video that the harness has 3 connectors, I see a round one, one to the module, but where does the 3rd one go?

Thanks

Instructions are very straight forward. Really an easy install. The most difficult part is installing the mounting bracket. Anticipate some swearing. I found that removing the horn cover gives better access for tightening down the bracket.

Things do get somewhat cramped behind that knee pad. Also, note the protective adhesive tape. That comes with the mounting kit. Holds and protects the wiring. Hope this helps.
