Just came across this new kit from Parmakit. They've been making a 200-ish cylinder for the 150 cases for a while but this is meant to be a new design. The case needs to be machined to fit it as the bore is 66mm rather than the usual 177 size of 63mm. Interesting.

Not that it's not interesting, but at that point, why not just throw a P200 motor in the bike and really go to town?

You'd want to have aluminum welded onto the cases to have enough mating surface, too, I'd think.

Is there some non-US regulatory benefit to having a motor with a 150 VIN on it versus a 200 VIN, even if it's actually 206c or more, asuming a long stroke crank?

You live in a land of riches, 200 wise. Certainly the UK guys have a much harder time finding 200 motors and here they are very quickly snapped up for ever increasing prices.
In Germany they are very tightly controlled as to what they can or can't fit.

I don't. The California, Oregon and Washington State crew, on the other hand, get them for a fraction of what they go for here in the Midwest.

And don't even get me started on my now years-long quest for a good Sprint project bike...

I actually would be interested, assuming that the price & the shipping could all be worked out.

w00t!

PM sent

Now I just have to figure out how to convince my wife that the increase in scooter count is because they're mating and not because I'm buying more of them.

Just came across this tantalising comment from BFA (they of the 306) no pictures yet -
BFA Motori wrote:
We summarize in this post the news for largeframe that will be released in the coming months after the August holidays.

- 225 cc cylinder (69 x 60, connecting rod 127) with stud spacing as Piaggio 125/150 crankcase and derivatives. Requires a c60 shaft with 127mm connecting rod spacing.
In production, ready for the first tests from mid September.

225 on a 150 case? Yes please.
