What is a "silent block"?

Silent block is the anti vibration rubber.

A bit more done, ive got another project on the go for a couple of weeks , so be back on it when thats done

I am looking at trying to fit a gt engine or lx engine into an ld frame.
Do you have any pictures of the engine mounting fabrication.
Have you widened and extended the front forks to accept the gts wheel?

It looks like you have widened the frame loop slightly to accept the engine.
What do you plan to do with the radiators?

i have widened he forks to take a gillera runner wheel and anti dive brake system, it has a gillera runner wheel on the rear too, radiator will be under the floor in a scoop. same way i do the gts to scomadi conversion.

piaggio runner 180 rad fitted piped up and bled, works very well.

front needs mesh.

Tige, how well does this method work? It looks like it's exposed to mud and stuff... I appreciate that you fit a mesh screen to keep out stones etc.
Does the fan suck or blow? Does it turn on with the thermostat or run all the time?

i have fitted a front mud guard to stop stones and mud, And the fan works with the sensor as it does on the gts, other than reverse wire so it sucks. the method works very well, I use the same one on scomadi to gts conversions.

WOW! Can you find a front wheel that looks more retro?
That's a great looking scooter.

Not really but maybe at some point make a cover that bolts through the spokes , the rear wheel is 13 so the front needs to be, It one of the things you have to sacrifice in the process of bring new to old.

All finished and gone to its new owner, will be run as is for now to make sure there are no problems or niggles.

Finished? No report on run condition ride etc? More pictures? Sold?

I built it for a client, Not for my self, i only tried it for a short run ,And it rode very well, but i will come back with information i receive from him,and updates on seat choice etc. The engine was checked on my diagnostic before it was collected,and all was good, The better test will be when it goes on some road runs, Like i say i will come back with info.

After building the lambretta series 2 fitted with a gts 300 engine last year, i got asked to do another,This time for a nice chap who only had one arm,His left. so that in its self added challenges to the this build i had not faced in the previous one, but i got there in the end,

used the gts rads , With a hydraulic foot brake. i had to make the grp air scoop wider,And baffle any air routes other than through the rads, This build also has a left hand throttle & front brake.

Your work is outstanding.
Looking at the silver one..the rear end sits up high.
I realise its on its stand.
Is it not possible to use shorter shock absorbers..or is the wheel size the problem.

its sits perfect when its off the stand, all gts stands throw the rear up when on them, when its sat on its own weight ,Its bob on.

My comment was definitely not meant as a criticism.

As i said before i think your work is excellent and the scooters look very well done.
