Does anyone have a tried and tested setup for an iron Pinasco 177 with Si 20/20 carb, standard 57mm crank and SIP road2 exhaust?

Full disclosure, I had a trusted mechanic dial my bike in. I didn't test and try these jets myself. That being said, I am very happy with the result.

Pinasco 177 2-port kit
(Standard crank)
Timing 20 degrees
SIP fast flow tap 2.0
SIP Road 2.0
Carb. SI 20/20
Idle jet: 55-160
Air corrector: 160
Mixer: BE3
Main jet: 108
Plug NGK B8HS (as recommended by Pinasco)

Altitude 46 feet.

I'm still breaking the cylinder in. Mixture is 2.5%. Plug looks dry black.

So far, no hiccups.

Thank you very much rustyandtrusty, that's a ball park for me to work to and is roughly what I was going to start with as a jetting baseline.

I don't recall the exact jetting off the top of my head, but I had to run a BE1 atomizer with my 2-port 177 and I think a 112 main.

I'll use this useful old thread even tho its's a few years old -- the kit's still the same...

Pinasco's terse instructions say that if you're upjetting a SI 20/20 carb, one needs to drill a 5mm hole in the heart section below which the main jet stack sits. Is this required?

Just want to confirm that it's necessary before I modify this original air filter. Have folks successfully done this, and how were your results?

Btw, I'm installing the iron cylinder Pinasco 177 kit on a '64 VBB2 motor I just rebuilt. I've got a dell'orto 20/20D carb and exhaust is a Malossi Power Classic (big box type).

For jets I have on hand a 106 and a 110 at the moment, plus lower increments. Might pick up a 108 also. Thanks
