So I had some screwy stuff happen with my 6v stator and since I have this 12v stuff lying around I want to slap it on to see if that was my issue. The thing is the stator plate had only holes drilled no abilitie to adjust left to right. Do I make the holes larger and what position do I mount it? Also what will happen if you slight scrape one of the coils on the stator? Thanks

Here's the damaged coils. The drill bit grazzed over and non of the wire was completely cut all the way through.

If you can get it to make spark and juice for the lites mounted on those holes, you can put a timing lite on it, figure out where it's at then drill new or elongate the old holes to get where you wanna be.

Should work, I have elongated the slots when putting a random stator on a random motor to get the timing moved enough, but have not seen just holes before.

Looks like the copper survived, but you could put a thin layer of liquid electrical tape on it like chandlerman did here:

but first maybe separate the copper where those two wires are touching or close to it
