Created article Replacing the clock battery GT200
(This message was automatically generated)
TB graciously gave permission to add his write up to the Wiki.
I'm still editing it at this point, but I wanted to get started working on it and still run downstairs from time to time to catch the Steelers game.

OK, Done.
I have added the link to it under the DYI heading.
Unfortunately, the link looks out of place reading...
Replacing the Clock Battery GT200
instead of
GT200: Replacing the Clock Battery
which would be more in keeping with the format already established there. My bad. I should have checked first.
In any case, I tried to edit the title and/or the slug to change it with no luck. It wants to revert back. If anyone can fix this or let me know how to fix it myself, It would be appreciated. Thanks.

Excellent! Nice work.
That top photo seems eerily familiar...

Pics aren't loading
Please help! The links for the pics must be dead or something, as they're not loading. Looking forward to changing the battery to my newly acquired GT200.

Thanks very much, just getting started with my GT200, really enjoying it so far, hoping start doing some work on it, taking it apart/ getting to know the scooter.
Looks like the battery is pretty deep within the headset. Is it the same procedure as other models like the LX150, etc.?

The pictures seem to have all disappeared again. Is there a chance of reloading them? Or perhaps attaching them to the post? And is this pretty much the same procedure on a GTS250?

Unfortunately, there are still some missing pictures in this narrative. Not sure what to do about that.

now I know where the battery is
thanks for the heads up on the battery. it would've been nice if they would've put the battery in an easier spot to get to like outside the instrument cluster for easy access.

External battery / power supply to clock
Getting to the small watch battery in the instrument cluster was a time consuming chore. The second replacement opportunity on my LX150 begged for a more reasonable solution. After the disassembly to access the clock and it's removal from the cluster, I separated the halves of the clock case to expose the circuit board. The wires that I silver soldered to the battery terminals go to a AA battery holder epoxy bonded to the inside of the horn cover on the front of the scooter. This battery will supply power longer and replacement is now a matter of removing the badge and the one screw retaining the cover. If there is another project for the clock, I might add an LED lamp in the cluster to improve night viewing of the clock.
