Modern Vespa

Just picked up a 2008 S150 that was purchased brand new, parked in garage and left alone since 2008!!! Old owner has multiple scoots and this one just sat ... Some trim pieces and in the keys are lost - no clue why. After I broke into the under seat compartment I found all (still packaged) warranty book, tools and some extra trim pieces.

Checked vin under seat and it matches my title so all is legit.

No rust on this scoot as well. Front rotor and pads prove current mileage. Minor damage from storage (scratches) and me (of course) - I ripped out the odometer line when loading onto my truck. I need to hunt trim/floor pieces down - any ideas? used preferred to make it custom two tone (thinking black and white). Let me know if you have anything for sale...

Also exhaust is missing - any suggestions

Let's see...the good news is that there are kits to fix the bodywork. This is for an LX, so you would gain a glovebox:

Keys are easier on the Vespa S than the LX because the S doesn't have an immobilizer built into the CDI. Here's a lock set:

Is it missing the legshield trim on one side only? Those parts are replaceable, thankfully.

Exhaust is subjective. Stock can be pricey and most aftermarket are a bit noisier. Keep in mind, any ET/S/LX 125/150 muffler should fit, from 2001-2009. The later ones are for fuel injected versions of the bike and have a bung for an oxygen sensor. Maybe post a "Want to Buy" for a stock pipe in the For Sale section of the forum; perhaps someone pulled their stock pipe for a sports muffler and it's collecting dust in their garage.

Nice find, it can be a clean little machine with some new bits and a good cleanup. I'm fixing up an '06 LX that's a bit rougher, but I appreciate the design and build quality and I think it'll make a great around-town bike.

Thanks. I saw the same kit from Sip site and its a bit cheaper and Im still on the fence if I want to keep it S or LX with glove box.
