The weekend ride was selected to head to a small, gas station BBQ restaurant in historic Micanopy, Florida.

The town is famous as the location for Doc Hollywood, a film staring Michael J. Fox made forty years ago.

I led nine riders down through some real old Florida areas.

Brisket was good for me, and others enjoyed their ribs.

Overall, a nice day.

Bill, I enjoy following your rides and adventures throughout Florida.

Lived in Gainesville for roughly 30 years and seeing your pictures brings back great memories of living and riding in North Florida.

I like seeing the bridges, courthouses and food joints you travel over, under and to. My wife and I like to ride our scoots to College/University campuses, U-Pick farms and Missions here in California.

Some of the best experiences and sightseeing happens between the start and end of any journey.

I to ride in my Vans from time to time.

Steve, with G8R as your forum name, you must have lived in Gainesville for a while.

The University of Florida is my alma mater, as I went there through the 1970s, getting a Master of Architecture degree in 1979.

You can't be missing Florida rides when you now live in California, home of some of the world's best roads.

As for the Vans, sharp eye, you have.

They have become my riding boots since the first minute I put the first pair on.

No comparison in comfort to the crappy boots I had before.
