I wish this weren't happening to your country. It's criminal.

My prayers are with you and all of your country for an end to this with all much of your land and life preserved as possible.

You have my respect for staying and continuing to ride on through one of the most difficult times one can imagine.

These are very powerful pictures and a sad reminder of what is happening in your country. Roland87, thank you for taking and uploading these images, reminding the rest of us of the atrocities currently happening in Ukraine.

Very happy to know that you are safe! We in Italy and rest of the EU support Ukraine 100 percent. My city is sending buses of medial supplies north each day, which then return with Ukrainian families. Glory to Ukraine and her many Heroes!

I have no words. I will never understand how humans can treat other humans this way.

With the widespread use of cell phones, public telephones are disappearing on this
side of the pond. Does that classic Red Phonebooth actually work?

Yes, it is one of only a few that does. Many have been decommissioned and repurposed for community use like mini libraries where residents share reading books.

On most blocks in Minneapolis, there are enclosed boxes in
front of houses where books are shared.

The fruit shop gave me the basket on back and it's worked out great for carting all sorts of things around town.




Seems like you see more Ukrainian than Italian or EU flags these days.

Despite the war unleashed by Russia against my country, we still sometimes find time for a short ride in the company of good friends.
And although now the pleasure from trips are not as bright as before - we simply cannot not ride.
This allows us to relax and unwind a little.

I cannot even begin to understand what life is like for you currently, but I'm very happy to read that you guys are able to get a break once in a while - and that your Vespa's are helping with that.

Keep up the good spirit and may the Force, whatever that is, be with you and your mates, Roland.

Gob bless you sir. It is amazing what good folks will do for
freedom.

I think individual rights are fragile. Even here in the USA,
it is an experiment in the value of the individual over tryanny
of the majority.

In this country, our founding fathers said, here is a republic
if your choose to keep it. World events seem to threaten
us like your country.

Thanks so much for this photo post. Truly hero's all.

Maybe a small measure, but the USA is trying to help
with arms and other support. I can not believe there
is a war in Europe. Other NATO countries also appear
to be stepping up.

Weekly club ride...

Scoot Salem Rally at state capitol. 95 degrees today but we lived through it...

It is from 20.11.2021 and my workhorse LML 200 4 stroke on way from my work to home. From Kyiv center to the suburb. It was very exciting and fun 14 kms.

(1) Keeping with the Ukraine theme, here's my scooter at a recent gathering. Thankfully Ukraine is now officially an EU candidate.

(2) A Lambretta 125 spotted on the street

(3) A Chinese made EV2000 made to look like a vintage Vespa. I'd never seen one of these before. I've read that the top speed is a disappointing 45 km/h, though it does have a range of 50km.
