Hello everyone, my name is Benita and I have just joined the forum.
I am in need of help.
The seat lock on my Gilera Fuoco, 2010 model, has jammed shut.
I can not turn the ignition key to unlock, even used a pair of pliers for more leverage.
Still no luck.
Got someone to bounce on the seat while attempting to turn key. No luck.
I have completely stripped the front end and can see the cable in the ignition lock.
Before I go any further can anyone offer advice on what to do next?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
Benita

Welcome to MV. Sorry to hear about your problem. It's probably a good idea to re-post this question in the 'MP3 Discussion' section. Good luck in solving your seat lock issue.

Reach up under the left-hand side cowl and one of the cables you'll feel is the seat opening cable. Pull down on that.

Thank you both for your advice and sorry not to have replied sooner.
I had previously tried to open the seat using the remote control on the ignition key.
There was no sound at all so I checked the batteries which were fine.
I tried again. nothing and then I turned the key in the ignition lock and the seat opened.
So I am Ok again. But I wonder if there is something wrong with the remote seat
opening which could have jammed the lock? I will now have to find the remote activator
to see if the problem i there.
Any advice?
Sorry to be so long winded and thanks again for your replies.

If it's the same as the MP3. it under the floorboards by your left toe. Dumb place for it exposed to the elements.

Further to your advice on the location of the remote seat lock mechanism.
I eventually got to it but could not remove it with the tools and facilities that I have.
It is secured behind a welded on bracket by 2 5mm screws with nyloc nuts
The screws are free to turn so I was unable to remove the nuts.
The general appearance of what was visible looked clean.
Is the receiver for the push button on the ignition key built into this item or is there a transmitter elsewhere?
Sorry to be a pain.
Thanks
Benita
