I was being sarcastic to my friends the other day, complained I had to pay almost $10 to fill up my tank, last time I filled up it was $7. I'm lucky to live in a town I get get everywhere in town and ride 354 days a year so not too concerned that gas is $6/gallon.

In the last few days gas near me went from $4.69 to $4.99. For regular. I'm sure Hi-Test is above $5.20.

You are definitely fortunate with in town scooter transportation.

It is hard to avoid the increased fuel costs on everything else
related.

The new term when filling a car is 'Paying a bill'. I filled the Liberty at $5. My co-worker filled his Audi A6 and it was $95! He 'Paid a bill', I hugged my handlebars! Half a tank on my beater Subaru Baja was $48, I've seen rotated the Honda Fit back up front. Guess we gotta pay to play now.
