I am curious how I can go faster. Can I just buy a 125cc and change it out? What can i do to go faster

Yes, more displacement is the most straight forward and certain answer. Piaggio has discontinued the Typhoon in the US but I'm sure you can find a used Typhoon 125. Simply replacing your scooter would be far simpler than an engine swap, assuming that is the model you prefer. Another option to consider is the Piaggio Liberty 150 which is available new and is an excellent design with the newer Piaggio i-Get engine.
Then there is the Yamaha S-max 155 which is probably the best performing smaller scooter in the US these days.
