Modern Vespa

Just took her out for about 30 minutes through Palm Springs. In a bizarre coincidence I got her home just before a huge thunderstorm rolled through, which is fairly unusual here...

Anyway, she is beautiful and what a joy to ride!

Unfortunately, the rear left turn signal appears to be out of order... nothing happening... the right side is A-OK. Any thoughts?

Beautiful. check to make sure tire did not hit tail light wires as this was a problem on early models.

(Might want to check the bulb; burnt-out or, more likely, might've come loose from its socket.)

I had a hard time deciding on color because quite frankly they are all beautiful, but I am VERY happy with the red

Welcome to the desert. As mentioned in other posts:

1.tryswapping the bulb with the right side bulb. That might indicate if bulb or socket is not good.

2.Red is faster

Enjoy…but avoid afternoon rides when upcoming temps are forecast

They did, basically a systems check ride around their parking lot. Not enough to click the odo past zero.

I'm more annoyed they did not catch the turn signal issue.

But, first world problems.

Not anywhere that required a left turn.
Seriously, the left turn signal issue should have been caught in the Set-up, where they go over a checklist as they take it out of the crate and put it together, or Pre-delivery inspection, when they went over the bike with the buyer and showed them that everything was working. And the 0 miles is something I've not seen. Right out of the crate, bikes usually have a mile or so on them from being pushed around the factory before they take it apart and stick it in a box. And the dealer set up involves a real road test, not a short jaunt around the parking lot. I would take it out for a spin and make sure the odometer works. Might as well check the oil too. Corners were cut.
The OP should have a predelivery inspection sheet that shows all the systems were working. I would go over that again and see if someone signed off on the indicators.

Congrats on your beautiful scoot and the rain. Keep the cooler temps but send the rain here, please.

True. Which was hilarious, given the song's famously transgressive-if-ambiguous lyrics, but the bigger deal to the Beeb was the use the name of a popular product in the lyrics. 😄

Sounds very lackadaisical to me, I too haven't heard of a zero mileage new vehicle being sold by a dealer. Mine had 8 miles on her and I'd be concerned by the fact that yours hasn't been tested.

A nice ride to take not to far from your area is the Palms to Pines highway. I've done it once and it was an amazing ride. Bring a jacket just in case Idyllwild is cold on that particular day.

Cheeky Seats. You can go online and see all the different
covers for your exact Vespa.

Very responsive service orientated company. I think they
can also do a custom cover that you design.

Mine was $100 - with this bad inflation, they may be
more now. Just fits snuggly over your current seat. I
liked the black and white checked seat with my Dragon
Red GTS300. I have the same seat as yours under my
Cheeky Seat.

Update on my rear turn signal issue.

This goes in the category of 'you can't make it up'.

Dealer van shows up to my house and before I roll Lola over to have her brought back for a check, I decide to try one last time. Whaddya know - it works.

I have no explanation and before anyone calls me crazy, trust me the thought has crossed my own mind.

I will obviously keep a close eye on it.

Probably the bulb not seated quite correctly inside the bulb holder. Just remove the indicator pod and give it a jiggle.
