Hi all
I have arthritis in both wrists and the px levers do sit at awkward angles, so 2 questions.
Firstly can i change the angle of the shift grip simply by adjusting the cables i.e so 1st is where neutral is and prorata so that the clutch lever id 'flatter' in 1st or is there another way?
And secondly is there a way to move the disc brakes lever 'down' without major surgery?
( I'm finding my fingers keep catching on the underside of the lever when I go to use the front brake)
Only idea I've come up with so far is a plate to drop it lower relative to the handlebar.

SIP does a brake master cylinder that has the lever at an angle so it's a direct fit without modifying your handlebars. As for the gear side, yes you can play with the cables…

A big advantage to you is that you have a cosa clutch in your scoot as standard . You wouldn't cope with earlier clutches and when I get rsi from too much computer work my pk xl clutch which has a reinforced heavy duty spring in it can make me whelp with pain after a 10 mile run out.

Agree it is light, its just the angle my wrist is at when plonking it into 1st is painfull, oh the joys of growing old disgracefully

You could:
Disconnect the cables at the shifter box.
Tape the lever to 2nd at the headset.
Adjust cables with the batwing in neutral.

1st gear now lines up with the neutral mark, etc.

Thanks Ray, Thats the next job as soon as I've sorted the jammed front brake and the battery not charging, should keep me out of mischief lol

May have to upgrade your top end for that though…
I have a similar issue where first just plain sucks to use so I just stopped using it and start from 2nd instead. My first gear is pretty useless already though.

wow thats a bit of a premium 100 quid over standard for 20 deg drop, but in the absence of anything else looks like the bank balance is going to take a hit.

Took it for a ride, its so much more comfortable very gldd I've done it.

Just to summarise how I did it. (Ray 8 you nailed it)
Slackened off both gear cables completely.
put the bar lever in '2nd', taped gear change in place.
Clamped cables back into position, using adjusters to fine tune.
Job Done.
