Rear shock is bit longer, front shock is bit longer, there is no original exhaust which protrudes down the frame, no centre stand...
Maybe thats why it seems higher than it is. If you want I can measure riding height tomorrow

I think you have it there - it's the lack of center stand and the knobby tires that give the look, but when I go back to the first post it really already is nearly that high.

For those who couldn't follow along

Today is a good day. Put in carb and throttle cable.
Pity but Malossi E4 air filter that I have on the shelf can not be mounted in PK frame with 19.19 V-range carb. So I put in original air filter. I know that it restricts air flow and I need smaller main jet. I think about Malossi E3A air filter in future.
I also put temporary fuel tank and make first start the Nuova. She started from first kick.

As my PK have no lights at all I asked my friend to made a pair of plugs instead of switches.
Now I got nice 3d printed items.

And today I made first little test ride.
All works good and rides really fun. But rear shock is totally dead. And I need bit smaller main jet.

Few hours ago had another little ride after rain.
It is hell without front mudguard
I can't run faster than 20 km/h or all dirt is throwing in my face

Put on handlebar cover with speedo and left side panel.

Get one of those little cut down fenders that mount just for that purpose.

Again had a short ride today. This little freak rides so fun! Easily done and holds 60 km/h on dirt bumpy road! I expected less.

Got a Malossi E3A air filter. Now motor can breath better.

Do you get blowback behind your carb? The filter element might get wet since it's so close to the carb.

Yes I have blowback on my Special with this carb. But I have no problems with wet foam in filter.

Today I put on front mudguard.
I made it from mudguard of old Ukrainian moped called Karpaty(as Carpathian Mountains at the west of my country)
Tested it in short run and it work good.

First snow here. And nice fun ride with my Snow Rat

Everything repeats again...
Seems that my Nuova have this fate - she again sacrifices herself to give life to another Vespa.

Few days ago I picked up this 1984 PK 50 S it stayed for few years on the open air. I always like pre-XL PK's. But the main advantage is that this PK S have all papers and a number plate.
I will take freshly built engine and front fork assembly from Nuova.

How did it ride higher up ? Look cool af

It just seems higher than it really is.
Front shock is from LXV, and rear is original PK.

Suspension is main problem and headache. But off-road riding is lot of fun, it is something absolutely other.
