My good friend Danielle bought a used Vespa LX 150 that wasn't running and needed some work. I offered to fix it up and do some modifications for her! Check out what I did to get this Vespa back on the road!

Great work Mick. It was great entertainment watching you bringing that LX150 back to life.

Watched that on Youtube last night funnily enough. Enjoyed it. 👍👍

Would love an LED headlight option for my ET2 but with BA20D bubs not being that common anymore, I wonder whether a decent and reliable one could even be sourced.

So - Any plans for the bodywork in future? Will you be doing it?

I got the impression that his friend, Danielle couldn't wait any longer to start riding her new scooter

There's nothing like new bike day, so totally get it. I was ripping parcels open like a child, and in the garage every night to get mine up and running... (totally neglected my new Cipollini!).

Would love to see it repaired - something therapeutic about seeing things restored to their former glory, especially pretty vespas.

A sequel this winter perhaps. 🤞🤞

good watch but have you considered the safety of the gear you wear? 🙃

After reading the comments on his many videos, I'd venture a guess that you are near the 1000th person to ask that question. And I'd guess you will have the same results too.

Without causing an uproar with the 'safety first' brigade, somehow it wouldn't seem right to watch Mic doing his scooter maintenance wearing PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).

I like Mic's alfresco style of mechanicing, listening to the wildlife around him as he does his work. His videos are a direct counterpoint to the workshop based, hydraulic lift use tuturiols from Robot of Scooterwest. When I first bought my GTS 4 years ago, it was often one of Mic's videos which helped inform me and showed me that scooter maintenance can be done without the aid of a motorcycle lift, with basic tools and with a little bit of improvisation.

The very fact that he is a free spirited surfer-dude from Hawaii makes his videos all the more watchable and entertaining.

Agreed - my last two visits to A&E were due to incidents in my kitchen.

I mean, where do you stop?! People nowadays have wear helmets for everything (including sex!). 🤣

I was taking about the gear he doesn't wear when riding. Like maybe a helmet when test riding maybe? Just a thought. 🤷‍♂️

I really enjoy your videos, your style really works for me. Also, Danielle's scooter is identical to mine without dents. Same colour!

My question is, where did you get the correct leds? Did you just go on (cough) amazon or do you have a source? I like the blinker mod too, I can't believe that Piaggio put tinted turn signals on this bike, I'd love to lose them. My search of the various (poor) Vespa parts site haven't turned up those kits. Can you reveal your source?

And for others on here, who wears a helmet while having sex?

Hi. Sorry to reply so late, but I haven't been around lately. Although my Vespa is an LX150 and as such has an H4 headlight, I got BA20D's on my other ride, a Honda Zoomer (you guys know it as Ruckus in the US). I upgraded them to led one year ago, and I am pleased to say they work very well. I am not sure about the forum's policies so please PM me if you are still interested and I will tell you brand and supplier. (btw I don't have any affiliation with them).
