So I am in Houston, Texas. Can anyone advise who can fix these scooters here..?? I contacted Piaggio USA and they said go to Austin...!!!

My problem is it just died. When turning it on now the instrument panel flashes red and then goes blank... Battery is good 12.84v....so frustrated...

Check fuses first. And there has to be a local shop that would work on it. Give AF1 a call and see if they can recommend someone close by.

Unfortunately, that is correct.
I had to go to Austin to purchase both of my Vespas.
There is a dealer here who sells other brands and I know he works on the PX's like mine but I don't know about the more modern Vespas.
He sells a lot of brands and I know he has had discussions with Piaggio/Vespa about becoming a dealer but it hasn't worked out (so far, anyway).

If you are free tomorrow (Sunday) the Houston Scooter Battalion is having their monthly ride, which this month will be the water gun war (my favorite ride - but no shooting while riding ).
You should drop by for a chat even if you can't ride this time.
I know Steve Smith (the ScooterSmith) will be there and there are usually several of the more modern Vespa riders whose brains you could pick to see who does their work.
We will be meeting at Drift Bar, 1207 W. 20th St, 77008 (in the Heights).
We meet at 2:00 and ride at 3:00.

I usually get there around 2:30 and I ride a green PX150.

Thanks Aiosi.

The Scooter Battalion sounds like fun. Won't be able to make it today, but will look to join you next month.

I checked with Steve from ScooterSmith and he says he works on all the newer Vespas as long as they don't have fuel injection.
I don't know what yours has got since I spend most of my time on the NSM side of the forum.
I'm surprised that more of the modern guys haven't chimed in yet about your electrical problem.
Maybe change the name of the topic to "GTS250 electrical issue" to get more responses.

Water gun ride 👍🏽👍🏽 why didn't I think of this.
Though many moons ago, I am one of the inventors of Sake Rocket spit tag, pre-helmet law, using cars as interference on the freeway.

And how many Vespas from the last ten or twelve years don't have fuel injection? Some 50s is all, and not any GTS 250/300 regardless of age. No help for FlyingSquirrel.

Scootersmith can do some Vespa work. There is also another shop that works on Vespas, but serious issues, and especially warranty work your best bet is AF1 in Austin. Sadly, Houston hasn't had a good deaaler with a go d device department in more years than I care to think about. Pity that such a large metro area is so understanding served.
