Modern Vespa

Hi all, this is my first post, I'm struggling with an indicator problem, I have a px 125 disc and I've just put p200e engine in it now I can't get any indicators, new cdi, new flasher relay, any ideas, I can get 1 front indicator to come on but no flashing, the only thing missing from the main connector block is electric start connector, could this be the cause.
All/any ideas much appreciated

Did you mount your px125 stator onto your p200e engine? Those stators are vastly different.

No it is new p200 stator

The 125 disc was when I got it just frame with loom, I had the 200 engine gathering dust in my shed

European market PXs run everything on the AC side, except horn and starter when there's a battery. If both stators have the black & blue wires on the junction box everything should have worked like before...

Some photos of the junction box (engine side) and regulator / flash relay would help us see what you've got...

Started out with old rusty frame, and all hard work is being held back by something silly I bet

Have you ever had the indicators working? If not, have you tried swapping out the flasher unit for a known good one.

Getting the one indicator to come on sounds positive from a 'stator providing power to the relevant circuit' perspective. do both left and right front work, or just one of them.

Swapped flasher, regulator and bulb holder from knowing working scooter, I've got another px disc working and all wiring is mirror image, I've got all headlights working, rear lights brake lights working but just one front indicator working but not flashing, doesn't flash when panels off right?

Do you have a volt meter? Start at the easiest spot and work your way deeper into the scoot.

First pull the bulb. Bulb good? If yes move on. Then see if you get AC voltage at the bulb holder with a volt meter. No? Go deeper.

Check for voltage at the rears by measuring AC voltage at the cowl pin slot and the cowl latch. If your meter shows anything and then nothing and repeats it's getting some voltage. It nothing, pull the tank and see if you jostled the wires to the rear cowls.

Still nothing? Check your relays. I believe there's two by the battery on PXs. Make sure the wiring is correct per the diagram. there's usually 3 letters printed on the relays which corresponds to a certain color wire.

Photos and wiring look OK. One relay on European models (green). Engine needs to be running. Indicators don't light up simultaneously. Bulbs need to be the correct wattage (12V/21W) and cowls need to be on the frame. Also the indicators "telltale" bulb in the speedo needs also to be connected...
