Looks like a GL. Wrong tail light & no trap headset, for a US 62 GL, though.

I wonder if the sidecar it out in the garage.

Not too far from me, clean looking, no doubt, but 43 year old scoot sitting around is going to need seals and rubber bits eventually. Not a terrible price, but a bit high for around here. I still may go look at it.

that paint look suspiciously like it's seen a respray and the speedo is too clean. like a little too too clean.

I'd call up where it was worked on and ask questions, I'm sure they remember the bike. I know I would if it was a legit low miles time capsule like that.

that being said, 3 would be a good place to start. 32 I'd consider it a fairly okay deal.

Hasn't been registered in 30 years......you go out of you way to mention that the battery is dead (f@ck, put it on a charger). Red flags!!!

I concur, it needs a in person look-see.

Translation: I'm flipping it and don't know the first thing about Vespas.

And if it was refreshed (what ever that means, I don't know), it probably would have been done by Charlotte Vespa which went out of business many years ago. Without paperwork, it means nothing.

The place listed on the sticker is a hair salon now, and yeah would have been Charlotte Vespa. fyi team charlotte motorsports told me Saturday they are now going to be a vespa dealer as of like last week.

Clues:
The blue high-beam indicator, fuel tap and choke look mint.
No signs of respray from here.

But:
A '78-'79 should have the DOT orange 55 on the speedo, no?

no, not necessarily. I have one sitting here on my desk what doesn't have the orange 55

I dunno, the finish on the paint just doesn't look right to me. like, it doesn't pass the eye test.

Too rich for me. . There is another P here in town, not primo paint, needs a total mechanical rebuild but about $3000 less than this one. Also a Px150 for 1k less a few hours away. Always wanted a disc front, and the paint is pretty good. Retiring at the end of the year, I'm getting too beat up after 47+ years of plastering. I'll have plenty of time for projects then.

My vote is that PX150 disc model. Stock they're gutless as all get out, but you could either install a cylinder kit and play around with jetting, or (which is my preferred choice) buy a set of EFL 200 E start cases, cast iron piston/cylinder/head, cooling shroud, and crankshaft. All the other 150 bits can be reused in the 200...including the E starter.

What a beauty. You can tell it's barely been driven because the flywheel bolts haven't yet torn apart the louvres. I wonder what is the story with the gas tank.

TV/LIS side panels are throwing me for a curve, but not as much as the mirror that's bolted through the octagon headset!
