Why would that be?

I also find it strange that they only have the Justin Bieber for sale on the website too.
beige and blue will come, its just delayed a little bit. They'll add it to the sites soon.

2nd Question: What are these maps showing?

Dealerships?

I ask because I know there is a dealer in Toronto and several in Montreal but they aren't on this very attractive map

Not sure it was mentioned yet, but Piaggio also removed the electronic speed limiter and claims a gain of 5km/h for the 300gts so up to 125 km/h. Surely allowed by the better suspension.

Hello everyone, this is my first message here. Congrats for the forum, its very useful and full of information!

I'm interested in the 2023 GTS 300 but currently all the reviews and test reports are made by the press at the presentation day.

has anyone here already tested the new version? I'm particularly interested in the differences in the behavior of the front suspension.

Since the 2023 facelift has already been available in Europe since the beginning of October, there are first driving reports in the German forum, for example:

To be clear, the description below is NOT my personal experience. I have already seen the vehicles and have already sat on them, but have not yet driven the 2023 model myself.

"Hi,

I had the opportunity to drive a new HPE (300 SuoperSport) as a facelift model this morning and now share my impressions here:

Body:
None! Changes in the steel body. Only the recesses of the turn signals were enlarged (other punching tools).
The turn signals have become larger in the rear, but I find that takes some getting used to, especially since this is reinforced by the lowered rear and the slightly wider taillight. In front, the turn signals have become only marginally larger.
The accessories trade will be happy, since fit the fact nix more of the old model. (Since I was mistaken when looking at the pictures).
When removing the turn signals in front, the glove box must now be dismantled and the control units in it unplugged. (the turn signals are screwed from behind)
In the back you can reach it from the inside, but your hands should not be too big
Helmet compartment remains the same size (the "old" helmet compartment insert fits 1:1 in the FL model)

The plasitk fairings are almost all newly designed. Not very detailed, if you disregard the tail, but still changed. It is only really noticeable if you put an "old" direct next to it.
Whether the old windshields fit, I can not say - the shots look unchanged.

The new tail is not very attractive. Visually it looks like a foreign part, almost like a dirt rag...
However, the license plate holder can be easily removed, giving room for alternative modifications....

Instruments:
the new speedometer is very clear in the digital displays, which are also very easy to read in direct sunlight. The analog speed indicator has become smaller, which I think is a shame.... My iPhone was immediately paired and connected to the speedometer - whether you need something like that is a moot point.
Nice is the remaining km display, which helps especially the Pisa damaged math geniuses not to lie dry
Whether the display is also reasonably accurate, must show the practice. The tank was half full (according to display) and showed a remaining range of 139km
Trip 1 and 2 are still there. The clock displays 24h and the operation of the menu via the "stick" on the left works smoothly and without delay.
There is now a flasher! That's progress
The bench release on the right switch unit instead of on the glove box is a matter of getting used to it....
The switch units in chrome color is really a matter of taste, but the switches seem more solidly finished and also the turn signal switch is a step forward from my point of view....
Here, the accessories trade will certainly find a lucrative field of activity.

Seat position:
For my 196cm the position has remained the same, the edge in de seat, however, somewhat less pronounced. The upholstery is much firmer than on the predecessor and it seems to have a higher quality finish. About wider it has also become and should thus be more comfortable on longer trips.

Chassis:
What is immediately noticeable is the now firmer chassis. The GTS almost no longer dips under heavy braking and the front damper no longer goes to the stop. Rough bumps hardly reach the handlebars and braking stability has improved significantly.
No, a Bitubo or BGM damper is certainly still ne track better, (soft or "comfort-oriented" the chassis is still) but to an extent where I almost want to question the sense of an accessory damper for general use.
On cobblestones, the stuttering is significantly reduced and only remotely noticeable.
Handlebar flutter was none present!

Brakes:
Here there was the biggest change in my opinion.... The brakes still require a spirited grip, but the braking performance has clearly improved. Compared to my 2020 Notte stands the FL model from speed 50 almost a whole Vehicle length sooner and although my Notte is 10kg lighter (exhaust, battery).
Even if I tested this only with the help of a line on the road and the speedometer accuracy was not taken into account, the significantly better deceleration and dosability of the brake is noticeable. This is a real progress and really remarkable, since Vespa had changed nothing on the brakes for ages (except ABS).

Engine:
No changes at all to the engine! Only the speed limiter no longer exists. Without Windshield the speedometer showed 133km/h at full throttle. GPS (tomTom Navi) were thereby 122km / h..

Quality and workmanship:
Very solid, the gap dimensions are better than on the predecessor - especially the leg shield bar now sits perfectly flush. Probably due to the now two-piece whereby far less tension sits on the bar. The paint quality on my demonstrator (matte gray) was very good. Paint thickness I have not measured for lack of instrument.

Conclusion:
The whole Bohei (especially here in the forum) and the partly very unobjective criticism of the facelift model I can not confirm.
It rides much better in stock trim, brakes much better and seems solidly built and finished.
Only the switch units in the handlebars and the license plate holder at the rear disturb the overall picture....
She remains a Vespa (thank God) and I personally will buy the new one in the spring...."

I'm a bit skeptical. I get almost exactly 100 miles between fillups on my 2020. I have a speed ring, so maybe 110 miles. Then again, the gauge isn't linear on the original HPE either.

With the speed ring installed, I can get up to the low 80s, which is 130+ kph actual speed. If they have the same engine and no limiter, the 2023 should go at least that fast.

Your experience with the speed ring is identical to mine, and my typical fill-ups are between 110-120 miles, with highest indicated speed attained being 84mph (confirmed via GPS).

that'll be the 9000rpm limiter (and probably a bit cruel to the engine to hold this)

The Arrancio Impulsivo (Orange) was also on 21/22 GTS Classic with chrome and brown seat.

If you want the 2023 Modell, I'm sure there is a possibility to trade with somebody and exchange black parts with chrome.
New Black parts (Swingarm cover, fin, lamp ring, speedometer ring, grips, trim, pillion footpegs, grab handles, taillight ring) will have a value of roundabout 500€$, while the chrome parts are often thrown away. A dealer would do a black to chrome conversion with a kiss hand if he could get the blackparts for it....

There will be enough that want to change chrome on GTS Classic or GTS Super to black…

Funny as it one of the reasons I like this color and regardless of whether I get this one or a whit one blacking out the chrome switch covers will be one of the first things I do.

Seems like every time I see the orange the orange stripe seems a different color. That's one of the things that gives me pause on it vs the white.

I can confirm the color difference from paint to stripes/sticker. Looks worse in photos than live, though. But I personally do not like it either.

From the german forum a new opinion about the new chassy/suspension setup:

Damper: I don't know why in all the reports from the journalists who were able to test the Vespa in Rome on the bad roads, no comment was that there was a huge difference to the previous GTS. I had installed the BGM pro on the front and rear of my old GTS 2019. If I now compare the new GTS with the 2019 GTS, the 2023 is simply better at bumps attenuations. Originally wanted to have the BGM installed in the back of 2023; with the current comfort, I see no need to do this. PS: BGM pro front and rear now for sale.
- Front fork: have the impression that the inclination is now steeper. Thus, it is now more directing. It's a matter of getting used to, but see it as progress.

But from a technical point of view how is it possible that they achieved this improvement by only adding minimal modification?

Because it is not a "minimal modification". The front wheel suspension is completely new, but based on an old invention called the "Watt-linkage" by James Watt (1736-1819). Based on this invention, Opel (former German GM subsidiary) already had a car with such a suspension in the 1980s. Piaggio has developed this old idea and obviously made so much progress that they could patent it. See also

2 Questions:

1- Is a serial number the same as a Vin in canada?

2- Can there be a series # 0 for each model and colour?

Ie. if I got a Supertech in Matt blue is there a chance I could actually have serial number 000 of the matte blue Supertech or whatever the serial number is will that be suggestive of my Vespa being the "X" number of Supertechs built in MY23 year

All vehicles worldwide have a VIN / Serial number based on an international system.

VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) - usually called chassis number - is a composition of characters given to a vehicle by its manufacturer. The existing standard ISO 3779 - 1983 defines the content and composition of the identification number. This enables the creation of a uniform identification system for all motor vehicles worldwide.

The first three digits are the manufacturer code (Vespa is ALWAYS "ZAP").
The next six digits are the model code (see below)
The remaining 8 digits contain a sequential number, where the last 4 digits must always be numeric. The manufacturer can indicate the year of manufacture and/or the production plant. It is recommended that the year of manufacture is indicated in the first position and the production plant in the second position in this section. The year of manufacture means the calendar year in which the vehicle was manufactured, or a model year determined according to the manufacturer's internal regulations.

So Vespa starts with a specific prefix (Here are the official prefixes):

GTS 125 2023 Classic, Super, SuperSport = ZAPMD3202
GTS 125 2023 SuperTech = ZAPMD3203

GTS 300 2023 Classic, Super, SuperSport = ZAPMD3103
GTS 300 2023 SuperTech = ZAPMD3104

Note: I am puzzled in that the number shown in the video does not continue with the model code I know after the "ZAP"....

The answer to your question is:
there will be 4 "starting Numbers" 00000:
One for GTS Classic, Super or SuperSport 125, one for SuperTech 125, one for GTS Classic, Super or SuperSport 300, one for SuperTech 300 (because there a 4 different Modelcodes) and IF Vespa includes Year of production or Modelyear, next year a new "00000".

That's terrific news! I love that you give these kind of updates as I just wrote my Vespa dealership in Toronto wondering about the update on my blue, super tech and ETA of arrival. If it aligns with you, it will be the spring time, but if it's sooner … I'll take a picture of it parked in the garage away from the snow that we have currently.

Nero Convinto black is the same as on current Primavera

Nero Deciso is the same black as on Pre-Facelift GTS

Agreed. The official website is pretty lacking with photos, and it's really nice to see some "in the flesh" ones like this.

Just needs a gloss horn cover black or white, black brake levers and a white switch surround.

Don't like carbon fibre, real or fake. Give me gloss anytime.
