Can anyone help me approximate the age or origins of this BBQ style rear rack (photos attached)? I've had this in a box in my garage for at least 12 years, thinking about selling it, but not sure the age/vintage/provenance, or what would be a fair price to ask.

Rack features 2 prongs in center of the rack, and cushy padded black vinyl lumbar support cushion.

Looks 80's to me. I had one on my first P. Saw one on ebay for a little over a hundred bucks recently. Looks like it's missing the bar that attaches to the bike behind the license plate or the tractor style taillight. Sturdy and comfy for the passenger.

That was 1980-81. The last generation of those. The earlier generations were raised.

The backrest looks like maybe an upgrade.

It's missing the bracket that attaches to the taillight. Might still be on the bike.

Those were made by Vespa of America, which went out of business in 1981, I believe.

What do you want for it?

80's for sure, the earlier racks didn't have c-channel style bars.

you're missing a few bits, but it all seems to be in good shape. 100~150 is about market on them.
