Anybody here mounted a Malossi Sport Screen on a Stella? Looking for something smaller, and a little more subtle and still undecided. Looks like mirrors are mounted on riders side vs front of headset. Looking to direct a little wind up at 60mph, might help if wind isn't hitting me in abdomen.

Never tried one. Not really my thing, but it does look like you might have issues with keeping the Stella mirrors and mounting that. Stella mirrors mount using a metal bracket below where that windshield mounts at the same spot. But it's hard to tell if the metal bracket for the stock mirrors moves the mirror stalks out far enough in front of the windshield to clear as the stalks come up.

But I'm sure you can easily manufacture a longer bracket that moves them out far enough to clear. I made a small bracket to go below those brackets which I use to mount my koso Harley tachometer on my handlebars so that it doesn't contact the handlebars and is angled just enough to be easy to view while riding.

In fact I hate how the stock mirrors are not wide enough to effectively use. They tend to get blocked by my wide shoulders. I ended up buying longer stem mirrors to counteract that but those are cheaper chroming and rusting already when the stock ones have no rust. So I might just make my own brackets that allow me to mount the original mirrors slightly wider so they aren't blocked by my shoulders!

I have the same issue with mirrors and not being able to see, I put on a sports seat that sits lower and that helped. I'm not a big guy at 5'9" 170 lbs.

Thinking about investigating if I can swap mirror brackets left to right and mount on inside of headset.

Thought about leg shield mirrors more than once, it's just not natural to look down to see behind you.

I have same mounted like that on my P, gauge on other side. I like it. When Ive taken it off, I notice the difference in terms of wind. It def helps smooth things out.

Works fine for me re looking back, and lower as an upside down left side bracket on the right, but Im a short ass 5'7.

Did you ever pull the trigger on this? If so, how did it turn out? I have the same questions on my '05 Stella.

Looks like it mounts the same as the Piaggio-branded one.

It does, my worry was mirrors getting in the way of mounting, along with disc brake master cylinder. Looking at those pictures mirrors are on riders side of headset. On a Stella they are mounted on headlight side.

I like the Malossi screen as it is smaller (more subtle) than the Piaggio one. Only downside for me is the Malossi branding across it

I could not get it to go back far enough over the headset for my liking without taking off the mirror brackets.

Can you simply bend the stem portion of the mirrors in order to position the screen more to your liking?

If you can zoom in on mine, black mirror mounting brackets are in the way. For some reason I'm think you run into the hydraulic brake hose also.

I ended up putting the black bracket on over the screen mounts on the left and left the right hand mirror completely off.
