I also had my new rear shock at its highest setting as well. It's fine with just myself but I bet it's close when I go into the corners.

I found the side stand in stock at Marcato. So that will get me going next week sometime.
Also I ordered the MRP main stand offset from ScooterSpeed. I think this is the option I will end up using but I'll decide after looking at both.

I got home from work today and the side stand had arrived from Mercato.
After wrestling with it for a while I finally finished the install and it was time for a ride.

First ride with the sprint veloce cases, VMC 177 Stelvio, Pinasco 24 ER carb Pinasco ignition and Polini box exhaust.
I took it easy to break it in but boy does it feel fast. This thing is going to go.

I did suffer one setback. It blew the pilot light, headlight and tail light. I must have some wires connected to the regulator incorrectly.
It got dark so I had to stop playing with it. Time to order more 12v bulbs. Not sure why I didn't order more than 1 set in the first place.

My shift housing on my VNB is touching on the exhaust and melting slightly.
Is my housing too long or did I route it incorrectly?

pull the locating bracket up and out a little and that should give you the clearance you need.

No, that ain't right. The cables go behind the pipe. It should be more or less a straight shot from the frame. No big wavy bends in the cables.

oh duh! he said it was a small block! gah, I'll wake up here in a bit.

TIL I have the shift cables run wrong on every bike I own.

It looks much better now.

On yesterday's SLO county ride someone told me that my fork is bent.
I thought it just looks wrong because of the repop mudguard.
What do you guys think?

Is the mud guard rubbing against the leg shield?

No. There is about 8mm of clearance.

If it's bent, it's not bent much, or not bent in line front-to-back.

It's actually easier to tell in a picture like that if you can see the headset, too.

And for side-to-side bent (like when it gets bent with the wheel over while parked), take a picture from the front and you can see it that way.
