Has anyone replaced their front turn signals with something more stylish or less likely to snap off yet? They look like items that punks just wanna try to snap right off.

Don't park it where Punks will mess with it.

They are designed to break away, so they don't break.

I have taught in low income neighborhoods for the past 12 years, so punks come with the territory Also I have dropped my bike a few time on the same side and the front light finally broke off. I have a temporary fix for now, but I would rather have something more secure.

But, I bet it's not broke, as stated they are designed to break away. Take the lens off and you should see what I mean. I haven't done this just heard it described and can't remember how it goes back together.
But everyone on here who thought is was broken, has been able to put it back together.

take off the lens then you will see that the light is held in place by the silver reflector inside the light which slides over the black arm holding it all together

I can tell you that YES it IS broke! Right where the light unit meets the rubber grommet. Both items have rectangular bases. They connect to each other, but the item that connects the two has broken off, so it is broken. basically they don't snap together anymore If you can correct that, please let me know.

The bits that connect the two are very easily glued if broken.

Not to say you're wrong, but I'd love to see the pic. That spot you mention(between the end of the 'rubber' part and the beginning of the actual light housing IS THE breakaway point. It's where mine "broke" and I felt like you did, absolutely sure that a new one was due. I've got great news for ya though...

1. When I took mine completely off(by removing some panels to make sure I got to it), I found that once disassembled, it was a breakaway point that could be reglued(with epoxy in my case) and simply just needed to be rescrewed together(bit tricky and you need a tiny screwdriver) and this had to be done while the light was on the bike(cos the wiring feeds through).

2. The even better news is that while I was in mourning and hadn't reglued/found out about the breakaway, I discovered that an entire new light assembly costs about $20.

Hope that helps, and trust me, these things repiece back together with very little work.

I broke one. It was not a big deal. They cost about $30 and are easy to replace.

How does one replace/re-attach turn signal
Hello! I'm really glad I've found this site. I hope you guys can help me out.
I've only had my MP3 500 for a couple of weeks and I knocked the right side turn signal loose. How do you re-attach it?

As in the post seven above this one - unscrew the lens cover, remove the bits, push the outer black cover back in place, slide the reflector back in to secure it all, screw the lens cover back on. 2 minutes max. Done mine many a time.
