Modern Vespa

today
at 7.55am
i got hit by a dog

poor thing was scared
and ran onto the road,
so quickly

broke my scooter
then got up and ran away
into the same direction
it came

i was so upset
but glad the dog
didnt die

my scooter rim is now
broken
about where my foot
sits
and the silver thing moulds
to the black

Sorry about your scoot, but am glad you and the dog are okay.

I hit one with my runner, it was on a chain with a muzzle and frankly scared me. It did break my front mudgaurd.

Glad to hear your alright and the dog is to. I will have to say people need to keep their animals fenced in or on leashes. Even then they do get out. They are dangerous to 2 wheeled vechicles. 20 yrs ago i was toolin along on my honda helix. All of a sudden WHAM i was down sliding towards a concrete wall. A puppy had gotten loose and ran into my front tire. I didn't see him, it happened that fast. I was wearing shorts so i had no skin on various parts of my body. TOTALED my helix. Puppy died. It had gotten loose. I am really paranoid about dogs now.

Very glad you are OK, and the dog also. The bike can be fixed.

I hit a dog in my car over 20 years ago, Ran right in front of me, nothing I could do, dog died. To this day I still think about this and it still bothers me, Beale.

Shame, ah well, better the scooter than the dog, right? The owners could hit you with a hefty fine should anything happen to their pooch. The vespa should be fully repaired.

in my area dogs are not allowed off a leash
and the poor thing was on its own

it must have been horrible to have
the little animal die as well
