Thanks Benny - my scooter habit is now a bona fide serious addiction.
And the "safety" benefits of the MP3 make a compelling argument to win any "I really need another scooter" argument!

And great idea, will have my partner armed with video cam, digi cam and sketch pad the day I pick it up.

Then I shall bid her adios for a few hours as I ride gleefully into the sunset - woohoo, excited is not the word !!!

The bike goes great with the 250 as is.. I'm not exactly sure why anyone would NEED the 400 unless they plan on doing a LOT of highway travel. Even two-up, I was pwning traffic up hill in roll-on acceleration from 35 mph on up! You owe it to yourself to try the 250.

I found it to be a struggle to maintain highway speeds on the 250. The extra 100 pounds or so over a GTS really shows even on a slight incline.

have put 130 miles on it (took delivery last Saturday)

1) excellent on hwy... i'm indicating 86-90mph... very stable

2) corner carver. immediately treat like a sport bike. look where you want and you can take any ramp full throttle. fun

3) leaving from light 'locked susp mode'... wish it had a tad more juice..but i haven't had too many probs.

4) trying to lock supsension coming to light. be careful...if on a lean it will roll in direction you are gooing. hitting the brakes can result in problems..i dno't lock until i've stopped for now.

Now WHAT would make me smile that much !

Yes, I can happily add my name to the "bought MP3" thread - mine has arrived and I gleefully picked it up yesterday - Apr 27th !! My work day could barely end soon enough.

It was part of the near sold out second shipment to Vespa Vancouver.
No one in the first shipment has yet presented for their first service so I have just a little catching up to do. My run in shall be gentle ....

I am absolutely elated with the MP3 ride. It seems to hover over the road, ignoring most potholes and clefts. It's sporty and every time I stop I see smiles, fingerpointing and hear "wows"!

Today a biker pulled up beside me on a bridge - tooted his horn and gave me a big thumbs up. He was riding a Triumph Rocket III - and was impressed ! That's the allure of three wheels .....

I live in Mansfield and there are lots of nice 'country' roads to test on ..as well as suburban twisties with rough terrain to see how well it runs.

i've gone flat out on grass (lawn at work ) and it was wicked fun.

Hi- I am new to this list and also a new MP3 owner. Hi everyone.

I have the 250 in silver. I am loving it so far! I was a beginner motorcycle rider (Suzuki GZ250), but was still a little scared in turns, especially from a stop. The MP3 is MUCH more stable in turns, and they are getting to be fun instead of scary. As far as coming to a stop, I wait until I am STOPPED (feet down) and THEN lock the suspension, then put feet up and wait for light to change. And you have to MAKE SURE you lock the suspension straight and not leaned over at all (or you have a scary takeoff).

I am short (5'1") so cannot flatfoot, so right now the MP3 is getting (through dealer) the seat customized (shaving a little foam out and reupholstering) to give me a couple of inches so my feet are more flat on the ground.

I am MUCH more comfortable on the MP3 than on my motorcycle, mainly due to the two front wheels, but probably also due to not having to worry about shifting (on top of everything else, like getting run down by crazy south Florida drivers). Leaning the MP3 is FUN, which I never thought leaning the bike was too much fun.

I have gotten head-turning looks from "two-wheelers" including some rice rocket type racing bikes. Everyone seems to think the MP3 is cool. I love the look- it looks like a snowmobile to me.

You will find the MP3 great for dealing wtih the flash rains in Florida..that's for sure (every afternoon of the summmer if i recall correctly..used to live in Melbourne).

I agree about putting feets down... and it does carve corners nicely leaning....
