Hi,
I'm looking to set off from SE london to waterloo, catch the eurostar to paris and make my way from there to the south of france, haven't planned too much yet but was wondering whether there are many other UK folk on here who could advise or even better if they've done something similar?

At the moment I ride from SE london to South Kensington everyday and I am loving it - if you couldn't tell I'm fairly new to vespa riding, having loved them for years I moved to london and realised that as well as cool they also make sense for getting through our wonderful city - so i've been going for 4 weeks now, taking my full test in a few weeks - only got cbt and L plates at the mo and can't wait to get paid soon so i can start modding it with lots of chrome!

Thanks in advance for any advice

Greetings mate.. 8)

First, you'll have to pass your test, you need a full ticket to ride abroad.
Then a bigger scoot,if you want to go on motorways (Min 150cc over there)
Then....just do it!!

a bigger scoot? bugger, can't afford that...guess i can avoid motorways they aren't the most fun of roads and well I'll get Boulangeries on some routes if i'm lucky!
thanks for the tip though!

Have to say today has to be the best day of the year so far, riding home in sunshine - brilliant, i love my vespa and have to say that now, more so than ever - why do people have cars in london!?

If you are planning on Vespaing, I think you are confusing Eurostar with the Euro Tunnel Shuttle. Eurostar won't let you take your scooter on board, unless it is one of those Monkey Bikes that fits in a holdall. Eurostar is a standard passenger service connecting London and Ashford to Paris, Lille and Brussels.

The Shuttle, which does carry bikes, cars, coaches etc, runs from just outside Folkestone in Kent to Calais.

big up the et4 indeed!
mine's silver, with a scorpion exhaust and a smart top box

i'll prob not do the trip until it's properly summer - will have my license by then....i hope.

i was plannin a trip to sunny brighton sooner - have loads of friends down there and well it has to be archetypal mod journey.

- and yeah i meant the euro tunnel of course, going to luck into the ferry crossing too. If, or rather when i get round to any triips i'll post my progress on here if that's cool.

I'll get a pic up soon, need to clean it up first, can't show off a mucky vespa, just not right!!

I'm riding down to EuroVespa in June on my ET4 from Berkshire which will mainly involve riding through France, this will be my first European ride and I can't wait!

I need some assistance from the London Vespa folks. I am interested in getting either an Urban Helmet or a Vemar Flip-up Helmet. I will be in London for one day for a business mtg. Ariiving into your City Airport. I will have a few hours to kill in the morning. Staying at the Park Lane Muse Hotel ( I know - a fancy area). Please let me know if there is a shop that might carry Uban or Vemar. Thanks in advance for your help...

Gianni
