Modern Vespa

I just received my Firstgear Mesh-Tex 3.0 jacket and I love it, except it doesn't fit me right. The XL is too small and the 2X is way too big.

What's your favorite lightweight jacket with padding/armor?

I tried the Joe Rocket mesh, and the elbow pads just slide around and end up under my forearms, so that one is out too.

Summertime Armor?

I had the same problem with my Mesh Tex 2, the XL-Tall wasn't quite tall enough, but the XXL-Tall is a little too big (but just tall enough). I settled for it as it does give me the flexibility of wearing a hoodie or something underneath if needed...

I had the same problem with with Icon mesh ... nice

I do have one problem with the elbow armour sliding around,
But I'm thinking that all it needs is some velcro to fix them in place.

Otherwise the iCON Tarmac jacket I bought feels great.
It's very flexible with the zip off sleeves and I can wear my jean jacket
under it or my Wetskins jacket over top of it.

Did you adjust the buckles on the Joe Rocket? If you leave them completely loose, the elbow pads will travel up your arm with the rest of the sleeve. However, tightening them above and below your elbow will keep it in place, and will prevent the sleeve material from flapping around as you ride.

Just picked up a Firstgear Mesh Tex 3.0 LG tall.
Seems to fit good.
Even though my GT is gray i chose yellow for visibility.

Have not yet had it on the road to report.

What fits one person perfectly may not fit someone else at all. The only way you'll find a jacket that fits YOU is to try them on.

I'm 6'3 and my XL Alpinestars Air-Flo fits well and looks great. It's mesh with a removable inner-shell for colder days.

Place them wherre you want, and tack a few threads through to hold them in place.
