First of all I need to thank Mol VERY much for getting this screen for me. As you may recall from this thread:

AAARGH!!

GIVI USA told all of my local area dealer that this screen "doesn't fit US bikes"

I felt that was a total load of crap! Why the hell would Piaggio make the headset for the US different!?

So, Mol offered to order one for me and ship it from Paris! Which he did!!

So, today it arrived, and LO AND BEHOLD! It fits just freaking fine!

I need to email GIVI USA and give them a piece of my mind.

Anyway - here is the install for this windscreen. It's a tall one - but it's very nice and I am quite pleased:

Givi provides a nice rubber strip to protect the area of the old shield....

The instructions for the support bars and shield install were surprisingly good. Here are the bars installed....It is VERY important to ensure the bars are fully set into the receptacles before tightening....

Here we are! All set up - The rubber gromets were relatively simple to install and the rest was not too bad. I checked the clearance of the shield with full turn both ways to ensure that I had it at a good height. It is possible to have it too low......

Full views of the scoot with shield :)
So here are some pics of the entire scoot - I am also attaching a shot of my view through the new shield - it is about four inches taller than I thought it would be - but riding was smooth AND QUIET - very nice! I hate the wind noise and this will make my rides quite peaceful - I noticed that I heard a great deal more of the traffic noise when I tested it.

I am not at all pleased with the customer service of GIVI USA - I feel they simply did not want to order this item for me and so they lied to me by telling me it would not fit. This is truly amazing and pathetic.

I simply felt the need to pass along that I have succeeded in obtaining this product despite the efforts of GIVI USA!

Very nice screen Jim really glad you were able to get one. I recall your struggle to obtain it. It looks good on your bike, and does the job you want. I think the aftermarket companies like GIVI need be made aware of things like this. Maybe they might do a better job of getting us (USA) items for our scooters. You did well my friend, Beale.

Glad to see if fits like a glove.

The screen appears to have survived the Italy-Belgium-Paris-Tulsa trip without damage

For those that are stumbling across this thread in their search for difficult to find screens, check out RAD Moto in Belgium. I believe they do ship to the US but it isn't cheap.

It is a huge difference - I love it! I hear so much more now - it's funny - I worry about all the noises I hear now - it's like "where did that noise come from!?"

You need to try it out in the rain. I was pleasantly surprised how much drier my legs were when riding in the rain with my small flyscreen. Your screen is much larger and will provide even more protection.

I have yet to ride in much rain - although I have a feeling it's coming. It really makes the wife nervous - and I have to say I don't love the idea much either, but you never know
