They REALLY need to make the PX designs fit the LX, I really really really love the designs they offer!!! But for now, they do make stripes that should work on any scoot (this is new since I checked their site last):

The decals are cute, and the stripes are nice and could fit most bikes. The only issue I have is that the stripe with the Italian flag is backwards...

The green is supposed to be on the mast side, or on the left on a one-sided flag. Not a big deal, I realize, but it would be like putting the 50 stars in the bottom right...

I think I'll be making some sort of striping myself for the legshield of the LX, with reflective tape.

Thanks for the link Mel. My first thought is to add the MV sticker to the mod stripe. I'm really tempted by the Evil Kneivel look of the stars and stripes though...

You could always ask them hello@pimpmyscoota.com.

Scoot Graphics is good for stripes and what not.

Nice you brought up the correct orientation of the Italian flag. I just put a flag sticker on my scoot a couple of days ago, and jumped on the Italian government website just to make sure I had it going on right.

You don't get respect unless you show respect...

Oops, I didn't notice that! If I was going to use that one on my bike though, I'd definitely research it first.

I just added red reflective stripes to my bike, got them from Applied Graphics: http://www.reflectivedecals.com/stripes.htm

Here's how they look:

I had seen your scooter when you first posted about it, I think it looks great! I love the Team Zizzou theme...

I still have to decide what would look nice on the plum paint, but I'm pretty sure it will be reflective.

I might put a big blue "Z" on my red Scorpion helmet (that I never wear) for those days when I need to be wacky.

Just make the whole fender and cowl look like a flag.

Yes, I did research the color orientation/proportions when I did this.

It looks really nice! Especially with the white paint as a background.

Did you paint the flags or is it a decal?

I've had the decal for some time now but just got around to adding a magnetic strip to the back. I tried it out yesterday for the first time...
I think I'll name her Evel Stella now.

Seth I really like the new decal! Very good idea using the magnetic strip. That way it can be moved around, or even off if desired.

Sweet mod, Beale.

I was interested in these decals from down under for a quite a while. I have an email back from them with exact dimentions if anyone wants it. PM me your email addy.

They would sort of fit...depending on the final look you desire, this may be a cool deal on a GT or LX.

Maybe the designer was Hungarian? Hungary's flag has horizontal stripes, not vertical, but the colours would then be in the correct order!

Thanks Cody. Many of the mods I've done could be considered temporary so that I can change my look at a whim. I think the stars will only come out on special occassions so they will continue looking new. They'll surely be displayed at the Dragon!

I'm willing to bet that if you got a good installer to do the work it could be done on an LX.

All from the author Richard Brautigan.

The poet Michael McClure said of Brautigan's work, "There's nothing resembling it in American writing. It's as West Coast as a Douglas fir, but more broadly it's peculiarly American and Rube Goldbergian. This writing goes beyond eccentricity and into vision at times, and at others it is personal symptomology. It's not just a string of books ranging from witty and sensual to decadent and misbegotten, it's a rippling, flashing river for the critic and reader trout-fishers and gold-panners of the present and future to explore."

Dave

PS Your name implies (to me anyway) that you 'spank the plank'. Do you play with Harry Ford by chance?
