removing decals

Hello from sunny England (It is honestly!!)

I'm having some custom name decals made for my scoot. They will sit on the side panels where the existing ones are. Therefore I need to remove the existing ones.

Are they just stuck on with some kinda double sided tape ... or ... are they drilled with some kinda rivet? Any advise for removing them?

Are you talking about the vespa badges? If so, the ones in the US are stuck on with tape and will come off fairly easily......and they are plastic.

Just fitted new Vespa badges to my GTS. The originals were removed for painting. Just peel off the backing paper and stick on.

The adhesive seems quite strong, you may need to gently heat them with a hairdryer first.

all the badges are chromed plastic. pretty crap really but at least theres no holes in the bodywork. the front one on mine has flaked. grrr
