Well, we're just coming out of a week of snow and miserable temperatures.

So, I managed to ride to work for all but one day. Having the shop open at 11 gives me the ability to ride in after they plow, so the snow on the roads still wasn't too much of a problem.

Cornering in the wet is really, really good.

Until we get some actual snow tires for this scooter (we have some schwalbes on order for the store) we aren't going to try riding it on actual snow again.

Weather protection has been excellent. The Givi windshield has been a godsend.

Here's a picture of what my commute has looked like for the past few days.

I always wished I could see what temperature it was while flying down the road at 60mph. At least I my ET4 can tell me what day it is, so I have that going for me.

the mp3 clock will cycle between time, date and year. The LCD also has two tripometers and an odometer. The pedometer plug in is an option

"Pedometer plug in"??? So what, you walk next to it and it tells you how far you've walked? Or you strap the MP3 to your belt?? I don't get it.

( Laughing emoticon Maybe you meant thermometer?)

I look forward to hearing how the MP3 does in the snow with Snow Tires fitted, are these the tires you have on order? The Iceman Spikes?:

I'm so glad it tells the year, just in case I ride right through to the next one.

Question
Is the Mp the same as GTS re removal of exhaust to change rear wheel? Does it still have the dodgy flange thing?

also, your a dealer...can you convince piaggio to make the speedo in English?

of course the up side of KM/H is that i thought i was flying through town at 65mph...i was like, dang this thing is smooth and fast

For a place like south east Michigan, where we can get a fair amount of snow in the winter (similar to Cleveland), would you think the MP3 could be a rear-round every day commuter?

For a more detailed review of my MP3 snow riding experiences go here and look at some of the previous messages:

http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/piaggioMP3/

In short, unless the Schwalbe Snow Tires perform miracles, I don't think I'll be riding this scooter (or any other 2 wheeled vehicle) on actual snow covered roads.

sounds like the next improvement to the MP3 could be a separate "snow/mud lock" feature. just make sure to make it impossible to hit by accident...maybe a switch above the dash so you don't lock at speed without wanting to...

but a way to keep the wheels locked upright for slow straight driving without leaning...sure it won't be good for anything else except driving almost straight at 15 mph...but a nice feature for snow or mud when you just want to survive and go straight and slow and not tip
