Hi all,
I have just recently bought a second hand LX125 and am really enjoying it.
Unfortunately, over the weekend a neighbour alerted me to the fact that my Vespa had fallen over (pushed?).
I went out and checked, the damage appeared to be superficial, although there was oil and petrol on the floor (the fuel tank had emptied from about half full).
Since then, I tried topping up the oil, and it seemed to be leaking. This may just be my slightly shaky hands. Also, I can't be sure but the petrol gauge seems to be going down quicker than before.
FYI, the bike fell on it's left side, where the oil tank is.
Would it be worth taking it to a garage to get it checked out?
I am more than happy to try minor repairs!
Help would be really appreciated!!!!!!

First of all, welcome to MV.

Second, while it isn't required, it would probably be a good thing to make the acquaintence of a mechanic that knows vespas.

That said, you probably got oil and/or gas in your air filter and that needs to be taken out, cleaned, dried, and reoiled. other than that, I can't think of why a tip over would cause a leak.

But let's wait for some of the folk who have motor oil in their veins to weigh in.

Re: Scooter newbie!!!!!
Welcome to MV from a fellow Londoner. Scootech on Roman Road is where many of us get our work done and they are excellent. If you are anywhere near East London you will do well to pop in on them.

Welcome from me too! Keep an eye on the Rallies section and any thread with the word 'Donk' or 'Skok' in the title for London events

You can't keep a good Donk down...

Thanks all, appreciate the input!

I will definitely keep an eye out for events, and hopefully come along to the next Bunga Bunga outing!

I think the best option will be to take it along to Scootech and make sure everything is ok!
