Trep, Mine arrived on Thursday but wasn't home so I picked them up from post today. I am surprised how well made they are made. Sorry no pics, they are going to be a Christmas gift for my son. Many thanks to you for all your effort in doing this.

Israeli cowboy Vespa bags
Safe and sound arrival here in New York! These bags are terrific, spacious well made and really fit well on the Vespa.

Can't wait to do a Joe's Dairy mozzarella run....

Thanks so much David!

Whats really weird is one package showed up Wednesday, still waiting for the second one to show up.

Anyway, the one that did is really cool. I am very impressed.
I would have packaged both together but some destinations had a limit of 2 kilo before the price jumped significantly. Let me know when the second one shows up... hopfully it shouldn't be too long.

They have an mp3 on the floor of the shop where I get the bags. I need to pick up a few more for some late comers, so I'll put mine on the mp3 to see if it fits when I go in.

I would appreciate that Trep. Am also curious how low they hang as the stock can on an MP3 500 gets very hot.

I have a fear that one day Treppenwitz is going to turn up at my front door with horns and tail and say something like " Ive come for your soul birreh" and when I try and bullshit my way out of an flamey death he opens a scroll which lists all the nice things he's done for me and then I know I'm fucked.

A raised eyebrow is sort of universal.

Don't be so quick to make up your mind about me. For all you know I may be in the midst of trying to claw my way out of a really, really deep karma pit by performing random acts of kindness. Penance and goodness smell very similar.

Here it is on the bike, all loaded up at the grocery store. The picture shows only one side, but both sides were packed full. Fits like a glove! And couldn't be any easier. Thanks again, David! You rock.

No worries, I'll be making another run for one other late comer at the end of next week, so just PM me your mailing address and PayPal $30 bucks to treppenwitz at gmail dot com.

I got mine last week and tested them out yesterday. With them, my bag hook, and the vintage bag hook I'm going to mount under the nose of my seat I will only have to use my bench seat when I need to haul something bulky. All sport seat all the time! When rolled up I bungied it to the strap across my seat. Thanks Trepp

would love to know more about this and where to buy one. some pics would be great too! when i hang stuff on the stock bag hook, it blocks my glove box from opening so getting to my gate opener (mounted to the underside on the left side) gets difficult.

Scooterwest stocks them. I've never drilled sheet metal before and I'm a bit leery of the whole process. I keep putting it off. Others on here have done it.

The Vintage Bag Helmet Hook is very cool, but I'm now curious to see what I can get from my local hardware store.

So I tried my bags on the mp3 250 they had on the shop floor. The slope of the opening under the seat makes getting them situated interesting (the vespas are more level) but it definitely fit. Not sure if the 500 is significantly wider...

I've been out of town all week, but stopped by the shop today and my bags have arrived in perfect condition. Can't wait to try them out!

Thank you for taking so much time and effort to do this for all of us. I knew you were a thoughtful person when I read your post about the girl who had a wardrobe malfunction (popped a button while riding to work) and you came to the rescue with a sewing kit!

Last Call (for now)
Okay, most of the bags that went out in the first shipment have been reported as having made a safe landing. If you haven't let me know you got it, please put me out of my suspense.

The second big shipment is mostly still in transit. No need to worry. Yet.

All in all (so far) 44 saddle bags have been purchased!

I am going to the shop on Friday to make one last purchase (for the time being), so if you haven't ordered (and by 'ordered' I mean both sending paypal payment and PMing me your mailing address), you have a day to do so.

Also, if you haven't posted a pic of your scoot with the new saddlebags installed... you know what to do! Bonus points for apicture showing them loaded up!

Thanks Trep. The 500 is an inch wider than the 250 but I think the seat buckets are the same width. I will decide today. Really appreciate you checking it out for me.

Treppenwitz,

I've already sent you a PM to introduce myself, and give you my shipping info. Sending you my paypal payment for one set of bags now.

Thank you very much, and I look forward to posting some pics of my first haul!
