Monday morning's rain ride in the dark on a lineless black road while dealing with the massive glare of my official Piaggio accessory Liberty fly screen - was the final one.

No, at $230+shipping I didn't rip it off and throw in the corn field - but I was going to do somedam thing with it - before I come out here again in the dark!

Before I get out the rattle can of flat black paint and spray the inside - like this mock-up....

...I thought I'd try cutting a piece of foam to stuff down there. Use it for night rides - then carry it under the seat the rest of the time.

Looks tacky - but works. Where I ride - no one is looking anyway!

From this....

to this.....

I guess nobody makes a visor for that headlight shape like they do for round headlights?

Putting things in front of the headlight can cause it to melt.

Nothing is in front of the light. Not looking to reduce the light on the road - just the glare on the screen.

This worked, too - except I can't see my Rotor Speed or Exhaust Temp warning lights!

At what speed does the baseball cap part company with the screen?

It won't. It's a genuine 'fitted' 59FIFTY on-field cap.

I'd tape the lower edge of the screen, should stop the light propagating through to the outer edges.

While the foam solution works, it might not always stay securely in place.

I like the idea of applying some black tape at the bottom of the screen or painting the whole thing black on the inside.
