This looks interesting,
I assume the point of wear would be the "Plastic or Nylon" vs the roller itself.
I wonder due to the lack of complete coverage like DR Pulley, if they could crack over time and have early failure?

I have tried both DR Pulley's and Stock, and to be honest I can't really tell that much huge of a difference based on my use. I have observed when replacing the "Sliders", they require some break in period to allow the RPM's to drop back to the norm. When they are new, the RPM's run a higher.

Thanks for Sharing,

This is interesting. Thanks for the update. What's supposed to be the benefit? Smoother starts? Longer wear?

Hope you had a good visit over here.

I imagine the benefit is that the centre brass weight doesn't have to be replaced - only the outer shell if/when it has worn. This should make replacements a lot cheaper to manufacture and ship, plus it's more environmentally sympathetic. A win-win.

Glad some smart people are trying to improve on an age old design. Their sliders are a definite improvement and this next step is interesting.

I am thinking this is not Dr. Pulley but Tech Pulley.

Little something more going on in the design. Notice than when the brass weight starts to move the plastic will roll until the lip comes in contact. They need to show the contact with the fixed piece the slider pushes against and a sequence of pictures of how it moves. An explanation of benefit vs our expert assumptions would also be good.

There is a better way to most designs just waiting for someone to think of it.

Higher revs for takeoff...

Lower revs for higher top speed...

Sounds great so far.

Hmmmmmm...interesting. If they make them in the right size, the lack of an actual MP3 version should be irrelevant, yes?

I know the 25 x 17s are what many people feel is optimal for the DPs. Are you sure the same applies to these newfangled contraptions?
