Modern Vespa

I have a 2012 vespa PX125 it has done 1600km and has had its 1000km first service.

Last week it was stalling a bit I put that down to the cold weather however now it is stalling when pulling away in first gear unless you rev very high.

So today i checked the spark plug and it has significant oil deposits all over.

I will clean the spark plug or even replace it but I wonder what would have caused this oil as I worry there is another underlying issue.

Unless you Vespa dealer is too far away, let your warranty handle the problem.

Dont touch it. Dont even admit to taking the plug out.

Take it back to dealer
Believe me you wont be the first!

As a matter of interest once its going does it ride ok, or would you describe acceleration as chuggering?

It chugs a occasionally bit at low revs. in 2nd and 3rd

2012 and 1600 klms..............take it back and have them go thru it.

by chuggering, my phrase, i mean when riding its like being on a machine gun.

If so theres a fair to good chance your imitation cdi has gone back to the land of the slow boat!
