Has anybody any experience of these screens? I like the concept of the adjustment.

Yes. Faco Tween Screens - fitting example

One caveat - the adjusting knobs can rattle loose and fall off. One of mine has - I haven't got around to getting a replacement yet. It's a common size for adjustable furniture feet so shouldn't be hard to find.
