Modern Vespa

hi,
i've bought a 2001 y reg vespa et4 125, to be delivered next week, all for £50 so its a bit of a project, not got any pics yet.

nothing is missing apart from needing a battery and lots of tlc!!!!
its blue at moment and needs some panel work and paint so might change colour.

being delivered tomorrow, got a battery for it. from halfords of all places!!! the price was not far off from www prices once you add p&p.

well its arrived,

battery on, plug cleaned, fresh petrol and she fired, started then stopped!!!! not bad for sitting for well over a year!!!

and my fingers don't mix well with little scooter engines!!!

only got two pics!!!

could'nt get my daughter of it!!!





also got it running, a little noisy with a hole in the exhaust!!

exhaust has rotted so much that no gases are exiting outa tail pipe!!!! can put me finger in it and no pressure!!!!

well the leaking exhaust is off!!!! this is how it came off bit more than a little hole!!!



must of been put away very wet as since its been of the road its sat in a dry garage.



don't think i can weld that together!!!

complete strip down is to commence shortly.
colour change is planned, kustom paint!!!!

will be for sale shortly.

Will make a nice little project,just got an LX 50 myself,needs a little TLC, nothing major just little tidy up and accessories

Is all customing done and do you have pics

as in pics, has a new battery and front s/steel brake pipe.
needs body work on right side panel. plus tlc.
just not got the time to do it, too much going on.
plus need the space for when my car project returns in a couple of months time. if i had it on the road it could of lived else where.

Shame, would make a nice and easy bike to customise especially with a custom paintjob, what car is your project if you dont mind me asking ?

a hillman superminx gasser. v6 engine, new front axle springs etc, about to be resprayed at a fellow club members place.
