Modern Vespa

Decided to sell my BV 500 and Aprilia Sportcity 50 and go for a Vespa GTS300
I thought this scooter is the best of both worlds - for touring on weekends and also my daily commute to work.
I have had more fun on the Sportcity than the BV which was great for highways but found it a bit heavy for congested areas. I much prefer the nimble feel of a smaller scooter. Hope the GTS fit the bill.
Thank you to everyone who posted information on this forum. I found that any questions I wanted to ask had already been asked by other people. I love looking at the ride reports which is very inspiring.

Wow, cool color. Not available here in the USA (do not think).

My reason for selling is that the BV has done 28000 kms. I also use an Aprilia Sportcity for commuting. Having 2 bikes for different purposes seemed a bit much. Two lots of insurance (500cc cost more as well). BV has no flat floor and is a bulkier bike for my local work commute. I have a Thermoscud fitted on the Aprilia which has been great for the Fall and Winter weather and also keeps my work bag dry (on the flat floor). Also having a Thermscud fitted to the Vespa
I hope I don't regret selling the BV and the Aprilia and hope that the Vespa is a good compromise between these 2 bikes.

It is a great color. I've seen a daring-plum LX150 here, but not a 300.

Aloha and welcome to the forum. Daring Plum rocks but i'm biased. It's not the same color as my LX tho. Be careful if you get touch up paint They have 2 different Daring Plums. Here's a pic of my LX and Matty's 300. I think you can see the difference. I think the Plum is one of the prettiest as well. PIcs when it come in please. Have fun with it and be careful out there. Grr i can't find it now but i will later and post it.
