Oh, another thing I'd like to do: Learn to play the concertina . I don't know why, and I don't even own a concertina, but I'd like to learn to play one.

Oddest job I had- Debt collector.

Funny, I was going to say my dream was to be an accordionist/busker on some sunny street somewhere. I'm sure it's not hard to accomodate either one on a scooter

Oddest job was probably my first internship at a studio. I spent almost half of my first day crawling up underneath the tin roof looking for a dead rat.

That, and buying dozens of containers of lube and colored hair gel for another studio production run. (Hey! It's for when you need to animate something that needs to look like liquid! Don't judge! I didn't work anywhere in Van Nuys!)

Can't tell me I didn't earn my keep. 8)

Did you ever work on The Neverhood?

No, that was a decade before I ever got out there.

I really enjoy the art of claymation. One of my favorite shows is the PJs. I also enjoyed The Neverhood. Great game that has turned into a cult classic.

Was an advertising photographer for 30 years.

Now I work for the Department Of Homeland Security/TSA.

Pickle packer

How many pickles would you say Peter Piper the pickle packer packed in the pickle packing plant?

The answer is lots, and lots of pickles. It was brutal. It's all fun and games until when you're wedging in the last cucumber, and your thumbnail breaks the cucumber skin and the skin wedges up under your nail. Man oh man, that SMARTS!!!

I used to work in a dinner house as evening chef, when it got slow we used throw sliced pickles on the grill and in the deep fryer. Yep, it got reeal slow some evenings but I learned a lot about cookin', never knew pickles could dance 'til then!!

What I do: Freelance (part-time) Illustrator, Cartoonist & Graphic designer. Full-time Production artist for a well known shoe & apparel manufacturer.

What I want to do: Illustrate children's books.

How likely is that: I have high hopes, and the odds keep getting better.

Retired foundryman, GM of aluminum foundry/machine shop, still keep a hand in.
I absolutely loved it, but I think it's wise to work hard & get out ASAP. So easy to get trapped in a job you like, especially if the money & ppl are good. There's also a whole world out there and so little time. yup Concur. Ha ha, bastards, you fixed 'em!

Retired airline maintenance manager and formerly technology manufacturing manager. Now retired. But retirement is not all its cracked up to be as it can get quite boring sometimes. Considering part time work.

Was the Manager of Creative Design and Development for a fairly large pharmaceutical company...was responsible for design of sales materials, packaging, exhibits, product design, etc. Retired in 1996.

If I could have another job, if I wanted to, it might be as an archeologist.

But, retirement is just too nice, and the scooters are a big part of it.

Strangest job I have ever held was as a one-man door window glazer for prefabricated homes.

Paid soloist in church choirs.

I sang in AME and other African-American churches (I was Jesus at Easter), High Episcopal church in a very wealthy area, and two years at Centenary Japanese Methodist Church. Plus many others.

This was one of my jobs through college.

Two:
- I used to have to scuba dive inside of a sea lion pool and polar bear pool at our zoo and suck up poop that got stuck in the pipes with a giant version of a shop vac...

- For a client: Cut down 100+ year old Manzanita trees, preserved them in thousands of gallons of specially mixed preservatives, reassembled them inside the dining room of a $10 million+ dollar house so they looked like they were growing in place and hung christmas lights from the branches so the owners could dine in the 'outdoors'. Only cost them about $75k to do...

My oddest job?

I worked during college as a children's shoe salesman. Got a diploma from Stride Rite stating my qualifications. This was back when we had the foot x-ray machine.

But that wasn't the odd part. The nit wit department manager decided that since I was a Zoology major (he pronounced it zooooology) I would be in charge of the 1000 baby turtles we got to give away with Keds shoes. Every morning I had to go in and pick out the dead ones, and he gave me hell for every one that died.

What I do: Drive city buses for the local area. I enjoy it most of the time. I pick easy, short routes that are typically commuters.

What I want to do: be a stay at home wife, maybe drive the occasional daytime school field trip.
