Modern Vespa

I'm sure I'm not the first to report the situation here on NY's Long Island. We took quite a hit here from Superstorm Sandy. Day#8 with no power and no gas. Our club is helping each other stay in touch via cellphones and sharing our power with those that dont have any. Me & 4 other houses have power and I'm sharing it with the neighboors. This is a good time to remind everyone that a club isnt just for coming together for a common intrest, it is also about coming together and helping each other in times of need. The damage? This picture sums it up. This is the Ocean Pkwy, a hwy that runs along the thin barrier Island that protects Long Island and a place we ride to very often...

Wow! Some pretty substantial-looking dunes just GONE.

Welcome back my friend. Positive thoughts and prayers to all in the Northeast that have suffered loss with Sandy. We in the Southeast coastal states are dabbing our brow over this big storm. Phew! We know what you folks are going through and wish you only the best.

Good to hear you are hanging in there. The nor'easter has started dropping wet snow in the city. My heart goes out to all those without power or heat...or homes.
