I have a non-electric start Stella engine. Well, a Scooterworks LML-150 engine. It has a big ol' hole n the clutch-side of the engine. Is there anything wrong with leaving this uncapped? I mean, other than mice, etc.

It's #27 in the diagram.

You mean the "flywheel side" of the case.

If there is a "big hole" in the clutch side case you either forgot to install the clutch cover or your engine is ruined.

if its the fly side then that is the spot where the starter motor went. you should cover it with that part #27. its a rubber blank and it keeps the fan air in the shroud to cool the top end.

Cool, thanks JJ. It is indeed fly-side, but I shoulda said "facing" the clutch side, but in the fly-side half of the engine case. Semantics always getting the best of me.

But it'll cool better if that guy's plugged up? Will do.
