With the sidecar? That's about the average price in CALI for a running P on CL. IDK...i had a P that needed "TLC", and it became a money and a time pit for a bit.

Love it! Those stripes are the color of the Brazilian flag. Very nice. But since the seller is a dealer shouldn't the TLC be given already with a clean carb? Something sounds a bit fishy.

Looks like someone Snagged it. I was wondering how long it would last. Should have been here two weeks ago. We had 2 P200, but running, but one was wrecked, both together fro $2k. It was a sweet deal.

Damn, wish I was going to be in town, I would have you stop by, show it off and have a Guinness.
If you need to make room in your garage for the new bike, you can always bring up your VBA and store it in my garage. I will be sure to take it out and treat it right at least once a week ⚠️ Last edited by shawn45 on UTC; edited 1 time

Hi everyone!
I don't come to this side of MV very much but this is a very auspicious occasion. Here are some preliminary pictures of Mattew's new purchase. He is probably too busy working on it today to post an update: |

cool scoot, and good score. but I would never use Canyon Dancers to secure my scooter. I have seen many guys break shift and throttle tubes by tightening down too much. and one guy broke his headset one time.
I use two short straps around the neck of the headset. works very well and is strong. |

I'm astonished you can use a trailer like that on the roads. Looks like the kind of thing you'd see in some Asian or eastern bloc countries. You'd get a defect notice from the first HWP that saw it here in Oz.

I have been working on it all day and I got it running. Actually rode it about two miles. It does have issues, like it won't run unless the choke is pulled out. It must have a jet clogged and is running lean. The seller did say that it needed a carb rebuild. Other than that the motor seems strong and runs good. I can tell you that driving a sidecar rig is a compleatly alien experience. Turning without leaning is odd to say the least. And if you let go of either handelbar you will find a new definition of wobble. It's going to take a considerable ammount of practice to get the hang of it. I'm not going to register it until spring. That should give me some time to adjust.
Oh, and don't be dissin' my trailer. I built it myself from scratch. It looks ugly because I haven't painted the ramp but it is very strong. I can carry two scooters at the same time and I wouldn't be worried about it at all. I am taking suggestions for a name but I'm probably not going to make a decision on that right away. ⚠️ Last edited by vintage red matthew on UTC; edited 1 time

Man, I LOVE that trailer & YOU are just fishing for compliments!
OK, nice work there!!! For a name, I'd go for 'Wideface' or 'Cheeky' until/unless you remove something that is distracting me... just can't quite put my finger on it. There's something a bit odd goin' on there, but what? jamesjohn wrote: cool scoot, and good score. but I would never use Canyon Dancers to secure my scooter. And about riding with a sidecar. I had one on a BMW 750/6. I took a little while to get used to it, but it sure was nice when the weather was bad. Good luck with your scooter.

Does anyone know who made the sidecar? The bolts on the suspention are SAE so I'm thinking it's American. The seller said that he bought it from the original owner and he said that the car has been on it since new.

Double Dutch is looking good. So is the trailer. I've never attended bike week in Daytona, but I've seen expensive Harleys on much more questionable trailers on I-95 headed there and stranded beside the road showing just an axle stub on one side. Maintenance means more than looks in getting you there. I've hauled Ps many times with Canyon Dancers, but with the front shock lightly compressed.
Put Max in there with goggles, leather aviator hat, and a nice flowing scarf and post pictures or a video. |

And I would feel totatally at home. I have the accessories already. That is just the vision that I had in mind. I would have to shrink wrap myself to get in there beforehand though. But hey you know what they say: "Anything for fashion." It reminds me of vacations in Rio in the 80's when everyone was wearing those oversized blazers with shoulders pads in the height of the summer to go clubbing. There is a price to pay to look the part. |

Nice looking set up. Wish you all the best with it.
If youre going to name it, keep with the brazilian theme. Heres an example: Evanilde (pronounced Eevhaneeldjeh) |
