Powder coated?
How do you fix a chip/scrape? I have been told by several bike/auto painters that powder coating needs to be redone if you want it to look right, that it can't be retouched like regular paint. |

NO Salvage Title. Plenty to repair the damage and get a full repaint of not just the P, but another bike as well. |

Not to mention from the hands of Al, which you can't really argue with. Theres an old 80's westcoast scoot around with both the front and back done.....looks good. A buddy and I were sayin how cool it would be to build a true 'westcoast scooter boy' bike. The hub holes would be a must. |

He's getting there.
A word about this scooter: This Rally is being assembled by a friend, Pancho K. It is the Rally from the "$700 Rally" thread. I told him I would convert the Rally Femsa engine in trade for a PX200 engine he had. I'm giving him access to my shop and tools and he's doing the rest. He's pretty stoked that the engine and a lot of the bits went together in one day. He's re-using most of the original hardware. |

Red Rally's are so pretty.
WP2 wrote: What is that under the floor rails? Guarding the finish... Trying to understand assembling the motor in the frame, though. Definately doable, not complaining. It's like the floor ass'y vs bench ass'y in borrowed shop space, I suppose. Can you rough guess this powder coat vs decent paint job cost please? Good to know when weighing pros & cons. Thanks |

Good to know when weighing pros & cons. Thanks Powder coat is great because you can assemble immediately. Yes, it can be a pain to do touch-up/color matching later (in the event of accident). I'll leave that problem to those in suburbia with matching helmets and all that safety gear. The cost of this show was $650. Can't guess what other people charge. |

Sorry, meant to say ' completing assembly'. Just seemed odd... Obviously the cases weren't assembled there, I do know that much.

Yowsa that scoot is looking fantastic, sorry I missed from the start. The paint job really pops, I can't wait to see it with the fenders on.
Tell Pancho K. he is doing a fantastic job. Can you give up a tip to a newbie about drilling holes in the engine? Lynn |
