Why would it be different? Just install the wiring the same as your SIEM switch.

What you should be asking is:

"I want to remove my original switch and install the wrong one in its place. Can anyone help me do this?"

Nope.
Try again please.

You couldn't find the SAME switch & are optimistic OR you screwed up?

you can find the tear drop switch in NOS. SIP sells a reproductions of it, not sure the quality. It came on nearly every VNA bike. it probably came on very early VBA's too.

you can always use a early VNB switch with the toggle on the bottom.

On scooterhelp, you can find most all the wiring diagrams. LOOK HERE
And good luck, what you're attempting may be more difficult than it now appears to you.

Brother, you have the wrong switch for the job. If you don't want to buy the proper switch, at the very least buy a VNB switch. Part# 89471.

Bro-hiem, you have the wrong switch. Unless you rip out all you wiring and run a different harness and stator, your switch will not work.

I am done with this all together. Good luck.

The best thing about a handlebar switch is you can make it work which ever way you want, obviosly your going to want the kill switch and horn on the moment buttons meaning you push it and its spring loaded and contacts for as long as you hold it ( a moment). You probably only have a headlight hi-lo beam so that one will have both hot wires going to both sides of the slide switch and probably power in the middle so that what ever side its slid to will contact power and hi or low.You really should be figuring this stuff out for not only your handlebar switch but the other wiring which there isn't a hole lot on these scoots. Never heard the saying feed a family with fish and they eat for a day, teach them how to fish and the eat for a lifetime? Or something like that.

The issue is that the momentary switch logic for the horn and kill switches is "normal close" on some wiring systems and "normal open" with others.

Nobody wants a horn that's on all the time until you push the button.

Sure, you can make anything work, but why not learn the correct way to do things and use the correct parts.

By the way, if you bought the switch from a local shop, you'd probably get the right part to begin with and perhaps the guidance about how to install it. Ebay and other such outfits online are not always your friends. You might pay $10 more at a local shop, but the expertise you're tapping into is priceless.

Right, sorta agree, but...
Just know that Vespa OFTEN does it rather different. WAY different. Read up on WHY there are TWO brake switches, one NC & the other NO. WTF, right?

'Load balanced system' is a phrase meaning electrical shennanigans & merriment for many previously rational, happy scooter electricians. Italian innovation.

That said, I'm sure with enough trial & error, you might puzzle something out that works. I mean just find some current and switch it on & off to the thing you want to work, right? Wrong. Maybe.

Whatever. I got generous typing fingers tonite, so good luck.

Fales,
You say you have the right switch now.
Voodoo pointed you towards the right direction above.
Seems like you still need help finding the right wiring diagram.
I hope this helps you out.
First, Look at your serial numbers.
All the info on locating them can be found here:
http://scooterhelp.com/serial/serial.numbers.html

Then go to this link below to find the wiring diagram you need.
http://scooterhelp.com/electrics/60.elec.html

No experience with Allstates, but the wiring looks fairly simple.
