Was wondering if this sounds right? My friend just install a fuzzy washer and Dr. Pulley 17g sliding weights and belt. The acceration is fantastic. But it top speed is only 80 mph. Mind you it a mp 400. I have mine with stock setup and im top out at 88 -90 mph. Ill admit, the take out sucks, but leaving him behind. What could be the deal? We both have high windscreens. Could that be a factor. And we weight the same. A trim 175 pounds. ha. ha!

I have washer and 15 gm sliders and can get to 91 mph gps.

Then should he go with a lighter weight then? Or should he open the cvt and see if the rollers are align right? Help!

Sliders should not change the top end limit - the Fuzzy washer will do that. However, a slider that is turned will affect the top end limit...

We just got done taking a look to see if the slider weights were in proper position. And they were. The fuzzy washer seem fine too. What can be the problem? Help.

Neither the Fuzzy Washer nor the sliders will limit the top end significantly if properly installed. Check to make sure the sliders are oriented properly - there is a groove that must be up top. Look at my walkthrough post to make sure everything has been installed and reassembled properly.

The answer is to look at the rev counter. Heavier weights lower the rpm and you may not be able to achieve peak power. Hence the bike will be slower. If on the other hand you are hitting the rev limiter at about 8200 rpm and 80 MPH your fuzzy washer is too thick and its stopping the pulley halves closing up enough. ( Assuming I understand what you mean by the term). I use 15gm Dr. P. weights and top speed is unaffected.
