Congrats!
Red is the slowest color and therefore the safest because speed can be dangerous |

I'm so new around here that i really don't know what "module 2" is. But it sounds like an achievement. Good for you!

Hearty congratulations Kittysaz! (I'm very glad to have taken my test so many years ago - before modules were invented )

Vegasgeorge in the UK we have to do a theory test and two module tests
1 is the slow manoeuvre and hazard avoidance, module 2 is the open road rude with examiner behind. You have to pass all three to get your full licence. I did my tests on my 125 GTS so am limited to rude automatics up to 33BHP for two years Then I can ride any size so long as its twist and go.... Hope that helps |

Module 2
Dear Kitty,
Congratulations! Don't worry, you'll probably come across enough "rude" on the road - left side or right side. I have heard the red is the fastest; but Midnight Blue is cool! Mr. F |

The 25 quid is just the admin fee for them recording the info. Best always to wait until you renew (or change scoot) for telling them that sort of thing.

Thanks for the clarification, Kittysaz. Sounds like they really make you jump through the hoops over there. Hasn't it occurred to anyone that one motorbike or scooter is essentially like every other? I don't think the licensing distinctions between geared and automatic, or small engine and large engine make any difference at all. Riding safely is all that counts, and all bikes or scooters are the same when it comes to that. It sounds to me as if your rules were made up by people who know nothing about motorcycles. In any event, congratulations again on passing your test!

I disagree. Take someone who has only ever ridden a 125 and put them straight on a 600+ sports bike with no further training and it's a recipe for disaster.
There's more differences between all the various bike types you could ride for a few thousand pounds than there are between cars. Some of the practicalities of our test system aren't ideal, especially after the changes next year, but the basic principles are fine. |
